Question about Brother MFC-9440CN Laser Printer

I have the cartridge error message also. it says to replace the yellow cartridge. I have done this but still no help. Now I'm dead in the water.

Hi,

When this error appears in your printer check if ink are smeared on the holder where the contact panel is with the cartridge. To fix this issue use the Kleenex(perfume ) added with few drops of water to dampen it and clean off those contact on the holder. You should let the unit sit 24 hours for best results. Before printing anything run aligned thecartridgesa couple times then run clean cartridges a couple of times. Print the test page to look for the condition.

Incorrect Yellow


Are U installed specified yellow cartridge? Chk with old cartridge & chk for the message.. Same error? there is a mechanical issue, carousel unit might be misaligned..To align it technical skills required, better go to the nearest service center.
If different error replace with another cartridge.

My HP Photosmart D-7160 keeps advising me that the yellow cartridge is empty even though I just replaced it. Any ideas?

Step one: Reset the printer

CAUTION: Do NOT perform any other type of reset on the printer before the ink initialization process has been completed.

1. Without turning the power off, remove the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall socket.

2. Wait 30 seconds and reconnect the power cord to the printer and to the wall socket. Turn the unit on if it is not already turned on.

3. Check the printer for the error message. If the error message still displays, go to the next step.

Step two: Clean the cartridge contacts

Lift the top cover.

Locate the ink cartridge indicated in the error message. Squeeze the gray tab below the cartridge slot to release the latch and then lift the latch.

Remove the cartridge indicated in the error message.

Gather the following cleaning materials:

Distilled, filtered, or bottled water. Do not use tap water, alcohol, or platen cleaners.
Lint-free cloth or swab. Eyeglass wipes and coffee filters work well.
Lightly moisten the swab or cloth and squeeze out the excess moisture.
Holding the cartridge by its handle, wipe the copper contacts.

Replace the cartridge and then close the latch and the printer top cover.

Check the printer for the error message. If the error message continues, go to the next step.

NOTE: The printer might take up to 15 seconds to clear the error and recognize the cartridge after closing the cover.

Step three: Replace the cartridge

If the error message continuess, replace the indicated cartridge with a new cartridge.

You might also want to perform the built-in internal tests to verify that the printer internal firmware is functioning properly.

NOTE: The tests do not verify that the computer and printer connections are working properly.

It is always preferable to perform all these tests when the communication cable has been disconnected from the printer, and after having turned off and on the printer.

1. Make sure plain paper is loaded in the In Tray.
2. Press and hold the Power button.
3. Press the Resume button four times.
4. Release the Power button.

I was installing the yellow ink and then all the sudden after I installed it the message Error Oxc18a0301 appeared! How do I fix this?


Shut down your printer by pressing Simultaneously Cancel + OK + Black + Color.
Complete the steps below in the order presented to resolve the problem. It might not be necessary to complete all of the steps.
NOTE: The printer will not operate unless all six ink cartridges are installed. Also, HP cannot guarantee the quality of refilled or re manufactured ink cartridges. Color LaserJet 3800 series - Error message reads


You have a problem with the slot that the yellow cartridge slides into.
Pull out all the cartridges and reseat them. Power cycle the printer. If the 10.92.03 is still there, then something is broken inside. Pull the cartridges and look inside on the right side. Compare that area for the yellow toner to the other colors. Look for a steel wire that is out of place at the yellow position on the inside right frame. The part is a cartridge lock. If it's broken, you will need a tech to replace all the locks at the same time.

Even if it's not a broken yellow cartridge lock, something else is physically broke and you will still need a tech.

Due to the age of the printer, i'm guessing that you don't have a warranty.

May I know the exact error messages in the printer screen. If it's green and yellow lights that are flashing you need to push more the two cartridges that you replace....also try to clean it using the printer program installed in your computer....good luck and hope it will help....

Error message after replacing black ink cartridge


This happened to me twice, You can possibly have no ink in your cyan,magenta and yellow , you would then have to replace them to work the set. I had to do that and it worked =]

Keep getting replace yellow ink cartridge error message


Hi,

Where did you get the error message on printer or computer?

If you get the message on printer remove all cartridges and reinsert the cartridges and align the ink cartridges. If the alignment page prints successfully then the problem is resolved.

If you get the message on the computer disconnect the usb from computer. uninstall the software and reinstall the full feature software by selecting connect USB later.

Konica minolta error


I had the same problem and found that one of the toner cartridges must have not been seated properly. I removed the black toner cartridge and re-fitted it. The printer now works fine again with no errors. 17H is a code relating to a fault in the rotation ......... possibly one or more toner cartridges need checking. Use the menu on the printer to turn it to the appropriate position (i.e. engine menu then select replacement of whichever toner you are checking).
