You can try this first: http://en.kioskea.net/faq/1902-disable-enable-the-touchpad If still can't, check whether your hardware is detected and installed from Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager and look for the touchpad device status. If everything is fine, it might be an hardware issue.
