Question about Krups XP2070 10 cup Coffee Maker/15 bar Pump Espresso

XP 2070 Won't Stop Beeping

When I plug in the machine, no matter what I do, it just keeps beeping. I set the time per the instructions I found, but after that it just beeps. If I hit the Coffee button, it will brew a pot of coffee, but all the time it continues to beep. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Plug in the machine, set time, push espresso on/off switch until stops blinking, then the machine led starts blinking and beeping. The coffee machine works fine, cannot get it to brew a shot of espresso.

Plug in the machine, set time, turn on/off switch until stops blinking, the pump sounds like it sucks in water. When the light stops blinking and I go to push the 1/2 cup espresso button the LED display and the alarm start blinking and going off. The only way to get it to stop is to unplug the machine. The coffee pot brews coffee fine.

Okay, I had the same problem, started beeping and lights flashing one day, unplugged it and it was okay for a few days then this started happening more often until the machine just beeped and blinked all the time and would not make espresso. When I called Krups customer service I was told it sound like a circuit board problem and to send it in, yes its under warranty but I have to pay shipping both ways, so I decided to check it out myself. So here is the bottom line and what worked for me, I removed the espresso screen (above coffee grounds holder, 1 phillips screw) and ran 4 tank fulls of descaler thru the machine. the hard part was getting it to pump thru the machine. I found if I ran water thru the hot water/steam nozzle first I could get it to run 1 or 2 cycles, I also found that by removing the water tank and turning the system on for a few seconds and running pump dry (not recommended) I could get it to cycle without blinking for a few turns. Ran the 4 tanks of descaler thru, then ran 4-5 tanks of water thru into a bowl until it ran thru clean. The machine is 4 months old and I was shocked at the amount of crud that came out. It now runs fine and no more blinking, If indeed this is the fix for this you would think someone at Krups would have a clue, but I guess there a useless a the owners manual for the xp2070.
Thanks and I hope this helps.

Sometimes water spills into the area around the water container which prevents it from firmly sealing into the seat/valve. Another common problem with this unit is that the screws holding this seat/valve in place are lose from the factory which results in water leaking and air infiltration which causes the pump to not work properly. I had to open mine up, take a couple of things apart and tighten the screws. Unit has been working fine ever since and no water leaks.

Opening the unit is not recommended since it would void your warranty. Personally I love challenges like this and the opportunity to see how things work, diagnos the problem and get the satisfaction of fixing it. If you have the leaking seat/valve problem then it's a manufacturing issue and should be covered under warranty.

Same problem, taking this thing back to lowes.

Our coffee machine is continually beeping and the water flow will not flow automatically, is there a reset button or something

It's beeping because it's in programming mode. Usual reason with a machine of this age is that the touchpad has failed. Water gets into the touchpad membrane after a while, which makes the controller think a button has been pressed. If it thinks the STOP button is being pressed/held for more than 5 seconds, it goes into programming....
To confirm: Remove drip tray, take lid off controller box and unplug one of the flat plugs from the keypad (there will be two long thin plugs next to each other, and probably a space or two for extra plugs). When you get the correct one, the beeping will stop and the machine will resume normal operation on the working keypad.

It won't stop beeping. I've unplugged it for hours to reset the clock, but it still keep beeping. I've cleaning it, I've smacked it. It won't stop beeping.

Hello dmtdds,
This should be an easy fix. Inside the top of most Cuisinarts there is a water filter stick. Usually in one of the corners. Pull it out and remove the clogged carbon filter. Clean out the debris in the bottom of the cavity. Replace the filter stick into the cavity. (You can buy new filters on Amazon inexpensively, they should be replaced every 60 days.) Flush your unit with 2 parts water and 1 part vinegar, then rinse with a pot of fresh water. The beeping should stop and you should be good to go.
Hope this helps you. Good luck! Positive feedback appreciated. NormanZ

Jura Capresso C3000 keeps saying clean unit

We have the S8 here at our office. Ran the cleaning cycle and "Clean Now" message was still on and beeping afterwards. Read the Feb 28 comment and carefully cleaned everything that had grounds stuck to it. Ran the cycle again and it worked. Thanks all.

Cannot get "beeping" to stop

Try the following if you opened the cover and unit beeps. This will happen if you set up the coffee maker and then decide that you want to add more water and coffee before starting it:

You will notice that there is a small white (typically) button on the clear cover of the coffee grinder. When it is in place and the lid is closed, the button depresses a safety interlock inside a small plastic post to prevent the grinder from working without the clear cover on and the lid closed. Quite sensible from a safety perspective. Depress the white button to reset the switch or take a pen and carefully do the same. The beeping should stop.

Beeps constantly

Hi,

The machine will not run if the covers /for the coffee grinder, the filter basket and the machine itself) are not properly closed.
It will beep and stop running if it is turned on when one of the covers is open or if one is opened before the end of the cycle. The beeping will stop as soon as the cover is closed.
To start the machine again, press the ON button.

These instructions are to a DGB600 but i think it is the same to your model.

Won't stop beeping

Every part must be snuggly in place.  I took the removable parts out and put them back a second time, and that did the trick.  I must not have had everything in 'just right'.
