You need to take the front foot rest thing off, by taking the 4 screws out from underneith. Then you will see a big ATTENTION sticker that say's don't forget to tighten this bolt. You tighten it, and it's all fixed.

Too bad that sticker is under an already pre-assembled piece because you never see it. It's also (as far as I know) not in the manual.

But I've seen a lot of complaints on here about the horrible shakiness of the front wheel...this just may be the problem.

This came from the on line manual -

If you experience front wheel wobble that is beyond
what is normal for use while walking or jogging you
may have to adjust the front wheel housing nut. This
nut is located under the footrest located at the front
of the jogger. You can use a standard cresent wrench
to tighten the nut. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN this
can cause damage to the wheel housing. (Fig. 6)

It seems that the only thing that worked for me was to over tighten it.  It wobbled until I really turned ******* it.  It works for now.

The front wheel shaking if i go faster than a very slow walking speed. Apparently it needs to be locked in order for it not to shake. And i found a small ball from the bearing i think.

The lock for the front wheel is a little plastic clip that should be just above the wheel itself if you push that down it should stop it from shaking
Hope this helps

My front swivel wheel shakes about 30 seconds into our walk. What is causing this? Can it be repaired?

Hey there,
Its hard to say what exactly the problem is but here are seem things to try.
If you turn the stroller upside down you should see 4 screws (2 on each side) right by the front wheel on the underside of the stroller. Make sure those are in tight because if they are loose they can cause shaking in the stroller. Also make sure that the wheel is screwed in tightly to the wheel base as well.
If these steps dont work then you might need to order a replacement for the front wheel. This can be done by calling customer service of Kolcraft at 800.453.7673 or you can email them at customerservice@kolcraft.com.
This is their website : http://www.kolcraft.com/customer-service/replacement-parts/
Hope this helps!!

Stering wheel shakes at 30 to 40 miles an hour

Put your spare tire on one side of the front. Drive it, if it does not help, replace the spare and then try removing the other front tire. Drive it and see if it helped.

The tire that caused the vibration probably threw a weight or has a broken belt. Have that tire checked and repaired, then have the Tire shop put the spare back in the trunk.

If it is not a tire problem check your tierod ends. They connect both front wheels and if there is a lot of play, you can get shake and wobble from the slack in the frontend.

Sometimes front Rotors can cause a shake when you hit the brakes. If the car shakes without pressing the brakes, then its the tires or frontend.

On jane powertwin the front wheel shakes when locked into position

Hi,

If the front wheel is shaking, I would suggest this:

Lift the pram so that the handlebar is on the floor and the front wheel is in the air, this way you can see directly underneath the mono-fork (the fork which is attached to the front wheel). At the bottom of the mono-fork there is a very small screw (or hole if it has come out) this can be tightened with a very small allen key. If you have a hole there, then the screw can be purchased from www.johnstonprams.co.uk
However, this only applies to Pro versions of the Powertwin, If yours is a non-pro, then again, I would suggest that you contact Johnston Prams to get them to give you a guide to adjusting the brakes on the front wheel which should stop the wobble fine.
(N.B. If your model is a Pro, it will say on the chassis 'Pro-Fix' or similar)
I hope this helps.

05 dakota front brakes

Try taking a look at your front wheel bearings. Lift the front of the vehicle then grab the tire from the bottom and the top. Push in on the top and pull out on the bottom. If you have a lot of movement then your wheel bearings are bad or need to be tightened. If that does not work I would look into the accumulator for the ABS and it's surrounding switches and relays.

My jogging stroller shakes

Well, i'm not positive in this, seeing how I never had kids, but while jogging are you pushing down harder on the stroller? or you could look for smaller wheels to put it on, but then again you might have'ft to bend over to do it, and if the handle which you push is tall that has to do with force viberating the stroller

Shakes when going fast

Problem suggests that the stroller has sustained structural damage in the accident. If you use it with any additional weight than what is the recommended as per cataloge the stroller may give away causing injury. The damage is beyond repairs and hence it is not safe to use the equipment any more.
