Does the switch still work? On mine the silver power button fell inside. It is part of a flimsy plastic tree that holds all the buttons. The manufacturer is out of the radar detector business and can not provide any parts either.

Iphone 4s screen and battery replacement now only powers on thru cord and base

Your new battery might has some issues. Put your old battery back on and try your charging cord and base. If it starts charging your old battery; it means new battery has a problem. If old battery doesn't charge too; i suggest you to try a working charger. If it still doesn't response; most probably during replacement process; you damaged pins of your phone's charging port connector.

If broken pin is at above red circuled area; you are lucky because it has price around $5. But if broken pin is at motherboard side, it may cost you around $50 or more due to motherboard repair.

My Acer Aspire 5630 laptop will not charge all the time, even though the charger is plugged into it with the green light indicating its working. Its charges every so often, then stop, and my computer shuts...

Hello.
The most common reasons for power issues are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord.

Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty.

If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem. The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement. If a power jack problem, it should be addressed by someone knowledgeable.
If no change, the power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement.

Another suggestion is to remove the heatsink and apply new thermal paste or the motherboard may need replacing. Leave it to an expert if you are not familiar.

Hope this helps.

I cant get my power chair jet 3 to charge batteries are good

Hi valentin 201
I have owned my own business for 3 years and have been working on scooters and powerchairs for 15 years. . In the future give as much info about the scooter as possible.

1. load test the batteries even if you think they are good, check anyway. Sometimes even new batteries won't hold a charge.

2. Your charger on the powerchair must have enough volts to open the charger inhibitor. That is, the charger won't even start up if your batteries are low. Both batteries need to have at least 20-22 vdc.

3. Some chargers have a 3amp fuse check that and repace if needed.

4. With a multi meter set on dc200 check your batteries. Red on one battery and black on the other. Check to see what you get for voltage. If no voltage reverse the lead wire to the other posts. Once you get a reading of 20+ volts watch the meter and plug in the charger, it should increase the volts on the meter. if not the charger is bad, replace. Charger should be 24-31 volts to be a good charger.)

One of these sugestions will fix the problem

Good Luck
Tim

When i plug the charger in the first time it is working but when the charger is unplug the laptop is not working.

Hi Tim, As per my understanding you are experiencing issues with the laptop not working without a charger being plugged in.In this regards what I would suggest you do is see if the battery charges with the charger plugged in and in case the battery does get charged see if you are able to power on the laptop with just the battery connected and no charger plugged in.If you are able to get the laptop to turn on only with the charger connected and unable to power on with just the battery then it would be an issue with the battery not getting charge. So before you replace the battery please unplug all external devices from the laptop including the charger and the battery and without the charger or battery connected to the laptop please press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds after which please insert the battery into the laptop and see if you are able to turn on the laptop. This step is performed so that we could drain out unwanted static electric charges from the laptop. In case this step does not work please do consider replacing the battery since it would be an issue with the battery not getting charged. Best wishes for your effort.

The ammeter says its fully charged, but when driving the scooter the gauge goes into the red...is it the gauge, the ammeter, the batteries, or the charger?

I suspect this will be the batteries. The fact that the ammeter is working suggests the charger is charging the batteries. Just to be certain, the ammeter should start at a higher figure (i.e. 4 - 5 amps) the more discharged the batteries are, and should read zero when the batteries are fully charged. If this is the case, I think the charger and the ammeter are ok. The battery guage should also be ok as these do not usually move at all if they are broken. Batteries can take a, and even hold a charge for a certain period of time if they are weak, but under load, they cannot produce the desired amount of power. It sounds to me like this is your problem, but before you buy new batteries, have them checked properly as other things may be to blame, like a brake problem or even a motor or transaxle problem.

Unknown problem

I would say your battery is fine. What happened is the computer was running off the battery even though it recognized it was plugged in. There is a piece in the power jack that tells the laptop that you are plugged in, but it doesn't necessarily mean the adapter is working. I would have the adapter checked to be sure it's working before I suspected the battery.

My laptop will not become up on battary ( it must be connected AC Power ) although the battary is full and working good

If you know the battery is full by having tested it working in another machine ok, otherwise my guess is
you are relying on windows to tell you the battery is full in which case you cant rely on that or some of the software that checks temp and battery life etc.

Chances are you do have either a faulty battery or even charger (even though charger will power machine
faulty by not charging up the battery) and thats either with testing or replacing.

Still check the contact points for battery and ensure charger plug is seating correct you never know.

Hope this helps

My Dell 1501 laptop turns off as soon as the charger is connected

Sounds like you have a multiple problem going on here honestly. If you have a constant light on your charger even when its completely disconnected from the wall outlet then your charger is bad for sure, cause the light shouldn't come on unless the charger is hooked up to power.

Your battery maybe shorting out the laptop which is why it needs to be taken out for a bit before the laptop will turn on.

My suggestion would be to try a known good working charger on your laptop to make sure it turns on properly and stays on without the battery hooked up.

Then if your laptop stays on for a while then with the laptop on and the charger hooked up, connect the battery again and see if the laptop will charge up the battery to 100%. If it does then disconnect the charger and see if the laptop stays on with just the battery hooked up. It could be that the battery is drained beyond 0% and just needs a good charging. If you can't charge up the battery or the laptop still turns off to where you have to take out the battery to get the laptop to turn on then the battery is bad and would have to be replaced.

My Sony Handycam DCR-HC30E mini DV is not working

In many cases I found DC Jack defective in this model and resulted does not charge battery through ac charger nor power up directly with ac charger.
I would suggest to check ac charger and battery on similar model Sony camcorder and I think your camcorder has DC jack problem thats why camera is not getting power from ac charger.

Charging problem!

Simply put, your battery is broken. Lithium Ion batteries in laptops can have bad cells. Inside your laptop battery are numerous smaller lithium ion batteries about the size of a AA battery. One of these is bad, maybe a lot more than one. If you are very tech savvy you can dismantle the battery and using a multimeter figure out which cell has gone bad, then simply order a replacement cell online and solder it back on. If you're a regular user I would highly recommend you don't attempt this. I would suggest you check on ebay for somebody selling a replacement battery for your laptop. That would be the easiest and cheapest route.
