You should enable the wireless adapter through control panel, and depending on which operating system you've got, it will be something to do with 'hardware'. enable it from there.

yes it is big black battery on the bottom of your laptop, and sound likes it is reaching the end of its usable life. you will need to buy a new one.

you can find it for cheaper just look around. $149

I need the LCD removal procedure for an HP G60.

1) http://www.insidemylaptop.com/remove-replace-damaged-lcd-screen-hp-g50-g60-g70-notebook/

(Scroll the page down)

2) Also; Which one of the HP G60's?
HP G60-100 series? HP G60 200 series? HP G60 400 series? HP G60 500 series? HP G60 600 series?

It's on the bottom of the laptop in the white Service Tag. P/N = Product Number

http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_lang=en&h_cc=us&cc=us&h_page=hpcom&lang=en&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_query=HP+G60&submit.x=4&submit.y=7

Disregard if you are aware of the following;

1) Remove ALL electrical sources from the laptop.
AC adapter (Charger), and Battery

2) Use Anti-Static Precautions. I repeat. Use Anti-Static Precautions.

3) Use a multi-compartment container for the various screws, and DO NOT mix them up!

There are different types of screws. Some look VERY similar to each other, of the different types.
If you use the wrong screw it may bind halfway into the threaded hole.
Chances are of removing it, without it breaking are very slim.
If you do get it removed, the threads in the laptop may be ruined, and so will the screw threads.

Basic procedure:

A) Remove the WLAN Module Cover: (WLAN compartment cover. 1 screw)
Disconnect the two antenna wires from the WLAN Module.

[The Black wire antenna lead is connected to the WLAN Module MAIN terminal.
The White wire (Cable) antenna lead is connected to the WLAN Module AUX terminal.
Just in case you forget when assembling ]

(NOTE*
I don't know the exact product number of your G60 laptop, so I cannot give you exact info on where the WLAN compartment is. Most generally it is in the middle of the laptop, next to the battery compartment. This is GENERALLY)

B) Remove the Keyboard:
Laptop upside down, Closed, Front facing you. Look down in the Battery compartment. (Cover has been removed when you removed the Battery)

There are 3 Philips screws down in the compartment to remove, in order to remove the Keyboard.
One to the Left, one to the Right, and one in the Middle.

Turn the laptop over. Front towards you. Open the cover. Open the cover as far as possible.
There is a Tab for the Keyboard to release, on EACH side of the Keyboard.
Two Tabs.

These PLASTIC tabs, (Use care), hold the Keyboard in place. They need to be released.
They are in-between the second key, and third key down on the Left side, and on the Right side.
They are hard to see at first. They are in-between the Keys, and the inner edge of the laptop.
They need to be pressed down in order to release the Keyboard.

A flat tip screwdriver, or butterknife looks to be the optimal tool of choice, but I caution against using one.
One, you don't want to use a magnetized screwdriver.
Two, they're both made of metal, and can easily damage the laptop if you slip. (Plus it will scratch the plastic)
I would use a thick guitar pick, or some object that is plastic, and similar.

Once these tabs are depressed the Keyboard will slightly pop-up.
Use care, and lift Keyboard up at an angle, (45 degrees), towards the LCD screen.
Back down, front up.
(The front of the Keyboard faces the LCD screen)
There are 4 plastic tabs that protrude from the back of the Keyboard, and you don't want to break them.
They ease up out of the Palmrest Cover.

You have a choice here;
One, lay the Keyboard back towards you, so that you can remove the Keyboard Cover.
Two, remove the Keyboard to get it completely out of the way.

There will be a cable attached to the Keyboard. A wide thin cable made of plastic, (Ribbon Cable), and has wires in it. There is a ZIF connector which attaches it to the motherboard. (Zero Insertion Force)
It is a white long connector, and is composed of two parts.

If you look close you will see a parting line on the connector. The connector separates, BUT, does not come apart. The ribbon cable slides out of the connector.
Use your fingernails to separate the connector.
Reversal of these steps is to gently line up the ribbon cable into the ZIF connector, insert it to the proper depth, and close the ZIF connector.

C) Keyboard Cover:
The keyboard Cover is a rectangular frame which surrounds the Keyboard.
Laptop upside down, Front facing you. On the very outside Corners of the laptop, on the Battery compartment side, are two screws to remove. Philips head screws. One in each corner.

There are two Philips head screws to remove in the Battery compartment. These are identified by a Triangle icon.
Laptop right-side up, Front facing you.
There is a ribbon cable which attaches to the Keyboard Cover. It goes to the Power On button.
This has to be disconnected.

Slide the Keyboard Cover towards the LCD screen, the lift up to remove.

D) Display Assembly Removal:
The two Antenna leads are pulled up through the laptop. I should state EASE them up out of the laptop.
They come up out of the laptop on the Left corner where the Keyboard was.
Disconnect them from the mounting clip.
Make sure they are out of the routing channel.

Disconnect the Display Panel Cable from the motherboard.
This cable's connector should be on the Left side, is white, and long. It just unplugs.

Disconnect the Microphone Cable. Goes across the laptop, and is parallel to the LCD screen. Remove it from the mounting clips first, then disconnect the connector.

Disconnect the CAPS LOCK LED from it's mounting clips on the top cover.

Remove the 4 Philips head screws from the hinges. 2 per hinge.
Remove the Display Assembly.

My HP G60 touchpad will not turn off. When I press the button above it the orange light comes on but the touchpad stays on. It is also hypersensitive. Is there an adjustment for that?

To adjust the sensitivity go to your mouse settings in the control panel.

Start>Control Panel>Mouse

There should be a tab named "Tapping" or something similar that has a button labeled "touch sensitivity". That is where you can change settings for a hypersensitive pad.

As for the touchpad that wont turn off...
It sounds like you have either a faulty driver or an incorrect version.
I suggest you go to HP's site and locate the touchpad driver for your laptop model and install/update the one you are currently using.

Here is a link to HP's driver page for HP G60 HERE. But you will need to know the full model number which is located on the bottom of your notebook. (a little sticker that says "service tag")

I hope this helps.

How change screen resolution hp g60-117us

If that is the max your current video card will do then your kinda hooped. Most video cards are part of the laptop motherboard and can't be changed out without changing the motherboard..... which means a new laptop.
