In playback mode press >ok< select >mode menu< with the 4-arrow-pad, then select >card< then >card setup< then press the PLAY button below the arrow pad. Select >all erase< with the up/down buttons of the 4-arrow-pad and then press OK (the button beside the PLAY button). Confirm by selecting >yes< with the up/down button and press OK button again.
It's also a good habit to get into, to format the card after deleting the images (you can also just format the card - that will also delete all photos). To format the card start as above (Mode menu; card; card setup; press PLAY). Select >format< with up/down buttons then press OK. Select >yes< and press OK.

Hope that helps

Olympus SP500 connection problems to Windows 7 via USB port. Software is unable to find an Olympus digital camera on a USB port on your computer.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

My camera says that the card is full, so i cant take pictures, yet i just deleted all the pictures that was stored on the memory card, what am I supposed to do?

If you used your computer to delete the pics, your camera doesn't recognize this action and sees the card as full. Format the card in the camera to get back to square one.

How do I delete photos from my olympus digital camera?

You need to display the photos in the camera, and there must be a button on the back which enables you to erase pictures (look for a wastepaper basket icon). If you have downloaded all the pictures it is much better to reformat the card. This clears everything off the card and resets it. You need to go into the menu and search through it to find the format card option.

How do I delete pictures from my memory card.. the camera says card is full?

Hi,

A quick way to multi delete the pictures (providing you have backed them up first), is to use the camera's menu to format the card.

Formatting the card will completely delete all the images and get the card ready for use again.

Memory Card Deleting Photos After A Certain Amount Of Time??

I've have xD cards that I thought I deleted the photos, but they showed up on the Xd card when i put it in the card reader to download another set of pics. I think it happened because I used the card in 2 different cameras (thus, the cam each saved pics in their own different formats).
