Panasonic Viera TH-42PV60H displays vertical lines on left side of screen.\r\nThese lines flickers and changes colors. Initially was about 2cm wide and now it is about 4cm.

Either LCD transistor got moist or the video chipset got condensation. Keep TV on standby to dry it out. Unless there is also mechanical damage to the lcd screen on the edge..

Several thin black vertical lines in picture. Picture color also very distorted, including menu screens.

First check the menu setting of collor.Try to decrease the color adjustment.If did not work.Your TV have loose board problem.Try to resolder the board.

Panasonic TH-42PX75U Blue Screen

This could be a reception problem of the cable transmission or the cable box if used. Are you using cable or SAT box. Tv goes to blue screen if signal is weak automatically.

hi,im a hdtv technician i have encountered already for that kind of trouble.the problem of your lcd is the panel.the panel is defective replace it with a new one lcd panel. (olevia,syntax and kolin lcd thats the brand i assingn.)

One of your "X" buffer boards is defective. In Panasonic plasma tv's they are located at the bootom of the set and connect directly to the plasma diplay panel via a thin ribbon cable. The board you want to replace will be directly in line with the discolored vertival line in the picture. The part number is on the circuit board and usualy starts with "tnp..." or "txp..."

Parallel vertical lines through left side of Panasonic Plasma tv

This sounds like one of the driver boards at the bottom or top of the screen has an intermittent fault. The set will have to be taken in to a service centre.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems to be the issue with Y-main however, Y-buffer and the logic board should also be checked. These boards are located on the right side of the unit and to check them you’ll have to open the back of the unit. Once you have opened the back also check for any blown/bulged capacitors. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise & know how to solder/re-solder components as these units contain high voltages even when in off position. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

nope, don't know electronix beyond basics; just wanted idea of what might be facing when/if i called repair type in. which is, i guess, next move, right?
