Unlocking my camera

Can not switch the camera on........it seems to be locked

I cannot turn my camera on. It is fully charged and I can view pictures when it is in the charging cradle, but once it is out of the cradle, I cannot turn it on at all. In the crade, I am only able to view pictures.

This might sound weird, but try taking out the memory card and turning it on without it. Just today something happened with my memory card and now it doesn't turn on with it inside the camera, but when I take out the memory card it works.

I cannot view or take any pictures. it says card locked

Take the memory card out of your camera and look at it. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

The camera says that my Memory card is protected. How do I unprotect my pictures? Also how do I reset switch on memory card? Thanks

If you had protected any pictures on the card, then while viewing that picture press the Menu button. Use up/down to select Unprotect.

Camera won't turn on - makes strange sound

This is a very common issue with digital camera on either the lens gears have to be replaced or the lens barrel need replacing. I rebuild these lenses all the time for 75.00 plus shipping and the turn around is normally less then a week. if you still need help fell free to contact me at mike@digitalcamrepair.com

Power/lens Problems

it seems that the lense movement is jammed. Have you dropped the camera? just have a close look from the front side of the camera, does the lense assembly seems to be pressed or moved aside by some extra preassure? if no physical disalingment is visible may be some sand or dust partical is obstructing the movement of the lense assambly. needs a help from camera repair shop.
