Most likely you cracked a board when it was dropped.

Hi angelia howe

Hi try this method and see if it helps
To reset the display settings of the Xbox 360 console to the default settings, follow these steps:
  1. Remove any discs from the disc tray.
  2. Turn the console off.
  3. Turn the console on. Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn the console on by using the Xbox Guide button on the controller. Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller will have the upper-left quadrant light illuminated.
  4. As the console starts, press and hold the Y button, and then pull the right trigger at the same time.
  5. The Xbox Dashboard resets the display settings to the default settings, and then automatically restarts the console.

XBOX STRUGGLES TO TURN OFF

This i have seen before and it tells me the machines is displaying the signs of lead free solder failure (85%sure). you could strip the machine down and replacing the x-clamps at the same time do the heatgun fix if you dont have access to an IR oven.

and the other 15% it could be either the IR board (which the on/off is connected to) and to test this you would have to strip the 360 down and try a different one from one of your mates. you can buy them but i would try borrow one first. its all about elimination.

hope that helps in some way

I borrow games from one of my freinds chris and his games wont work in my xbox 360 so I tried them in another freinds xbox 360 and they still dont work. The games only work in chris's xbox 360 only.

Hi,

His console is either chipped or the DVD drive has been modded to be able to play backups.

Meaning the games are backups and not original games.

Thanks

DISK DRIVE PROBLEM

Sounds like it is not reading the disk, make sure it is clean. Can you hear it trying to spin?

I hope you didn't push too ******* the door, you can make it jump a tooth on the loading gear making it go out of time. Check here for more solutions http://fix-your-xbox-360.blogspot.com/

chances are, her profile has overwrote your saved files on that hard drive. So unless you have backed the saves up there is no hope.
