Convert usb raw drive to fat drive

The Fat32 (FAT) format is used to format disk drives on Windows-based computers and can also be recognized by the Mac's OS X operating system. You can format a flash drive with the FAT format so that it can be used on both PCs and Macs. The procedure is straightforward, if different depending upon the operating system being used to do the formatting. You do not need to purchase any additional software to format the Flash drive in the FAT format.

When i was format my pen drive. it shown some error like "windows was unable to complete the format " please help me to solve this. i try to format it in Linux, fedora

You may have formatted the pen drive including the software that is pre-installed so that your computer can see the product. here is what you need to do if this is the case. You need to look it up on google with the brand and the model. You will find that most companies will provide support on things like this. I had flash drive that this same thing happened to. I just went to the manufacturers web site in this case it was Sony and I pulled up their support and downloaded the software right from their website and then put it on the drive itself and it was back in business. Now the issue that arises when you format your flash drive is that you delete EVERYTHING! and that is also the software that tells the computer what it is and how to utilize it. Now the safest way to delete something off a flash drive is to do just that delete the program or file then routinely defrag the device. This is what I do to ensure that the devices are working when I need them. I sure hope that this helps you in figuring out the issue Thanks, Cody
P.S. sine I didn't have the brand and model number I couldn't retrieve the information for you and help you further in fixing the problem

Hi,

Would you try to format your flash drive using this software which I uploaded HERE. Download and unzip the file. Then run the exe file.

Do the followings:

- First plug in your micro-sd card into you PC using USB cable.

- Run the downloaded "HPUSBFW_2.2.3_MASTER.exe" file.

- In the program menu window, select the device (your flash drive).

- Select FAT32 as file system,

- Confirm that all the format options unchecked. (Uncheck the quick format option)

- And click the "Start" button to begin formatting.

- Then restart your computer to recognize your flash drive. Or from control panel, go to Add devices menu and search your flash drive to find and add.

Hope this helps.

Trying to add pictures on to phone by memoryy carddd`

Your device is, most probably, not recognizing your card's formatting rules. Save all the card's contests to anywhere you want on your PC. Then, install this program on your PC and run 'SDFormatter V2.0' (under 'C:\Program Files\Panasonic\SDFormatter') to format your card.,Copy the files previously saved back to it, and insert it in your device.
Hope it works for you.
Cheers! Carlos

Usb is not responding when inserted into laptop (have tried another computer so fault must be in the flash drive)

Files on a flash drive can be corrupted if it is not removed from the USB port properly.
Before removing the flash drive click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon and then click on the flash drive you want to remove and then remove the flash drive when the computer message says it is Safe to remove.
To restore the flash drive you may need to format the flash drive, but you will lose the data stored on the flash drive.
If you need the data on the flash drive this program may help: -
Digital Photo Recovery
