My camera working properly but its not capturing any picture, i tryed to update the camera software but still the same problem. its give me this massage "cannot connect to this video device(usb camera)please select another capture device via settings or close any applicationthat mayusing this video device and restart your webcam"

Get the webcam software from the website. If they have windows 7 software supported you should be fine. It they are giving software for windows xp only then it will not work. Bottom Line go on the website and install the webcam software again.

Check the Image source if well shielded. Weak or broken shield in cable will affect the video-sound quality. Try different cable and analog video source. Once you ensure that nothing is wrong at input side. Uninstall-Reinstall the driver and the accompanied software also update driver and the software from Pinnacles support website.

No solution, but I have precisely the same issue. I've reinstalled and removed ArcSoft many times, being careful to clean registries, etc but to no avail. The camera actually worked with Skype initially (plug and play), UNTIL I installed ArcSoft. So I think that ArcSoft "stepped" on a driver somewhere that I can't detect or repair. (I'm using "Driver Detective" but so far it hasn't helped) Will update if I find a fix.

Have yiou gone to the sony site and looked for a solution. There may be a hardware update for your camera. Also you should try another card.  Hope this helps

reinstall drivers for webcam
use original programmes that came with camera or updated ones
try some diffrent settings in cam/settings and capture part of your camera software.

I think there is new SW, if your phone can still opperate you may want to give this a try...

Try playing back pictures you know were captured properly ( either with another properly working camera or with your camera before the problem with quality has appeared ). If the image is ok in playback but 'noisy' in capture mode then the CCD sensor is faulty /on its way out. Ask Canon if they repair CCD faults on this model free of charge.
