Question about Kitchen Appliances - Others
Bought a cheap jug kettle from Argos about a month ago, I find now that when I go to empty what is left and refill, there is a brown sediment, like sand in the bottom (instead of the limescale I was expecting). I wonder if this is the coating coming off the element, and also if it is safe to keep using, there is a filter in the spout.
The element may be rusting! Normaly rust is safe, but annoying. you should find out the type of metals to know if it is actualy safe.
Personaly, I would go and get a good quality product from a well known manufacture. This way it will be safe and dependable.
