There should be a group of wires that were orange grey yellow and black. Connect the red wire to the yellow in the above group of wires.

My 04 grand prix had a amplifier wire short out on the exhaust manifold and now with a good battery I have nothing!! No lights,no dinging and I've checked voltage and all fuses??? What am missing??

You probably burned out a fuse link. Not sure which one or where it is but I would check the wires near the big post on the starter or near the power box under the hood. It's usually a large red wire with a black section near a terminal. The black section will be burned if it's bad.

Hi-changed over my car stereo out of my hyundai coupe 04 today but now the new stereo will not switch on automatically when power to unit-resulting in cd etc starting from begining again-i removed a...

you more than likely have the red/yellow wire (coming out from the back of the radio) reversed. the orange wire is usually for the dimmer feature and is not necessary to hook up. The red wire needs to be hooked to an accessory wire (i.e. send power when you turn the car on and goes to ground when the cars off) and the yellow wires needs a constant power source (i.e. always on from the battery) the yellow wire lets the radio retain memory.

Where do i hook a trailer wireing harness up on a 04 grand cherokee

Hi John,

I'm not sure about the 2004, but my 86 Cherokee has a wire bundle beneath the rear bumper. A test light and yelling to a friend in the drivers seat made wire identification pretty easy. (I don't get up that easy any more from a prone position ;0)

AND this will help with the actual hookups.

Click here for a cheat sheet I wrote when I finally got tired of looking up wire colors.

Best regards
