The speakers are fairly small and might be easy to replace if you surf the surplus sites.

If you are not comfortable disassembling the unit, I would call the manufacturer.

Otherwise, you can check the TDA7268 IC (amplifier for speakers) on the circuit board the speakers
plug into with a scope.

I recently fixed my monitor and noted how hot that chip gets (and it supposed to) with the possibly incorrect or inadequate heat sinking Samsung designed into the circuit board that cause my monitor to fail. (although differently)

You can email me too if you're still having problems with this. The design is pretty straightforward and could be tested to some degree with a multimeter.

Regards,

Your speakers might just have flat out died. You might want to send it back to the manufacturer for repairs. If you can't, just buy some speakers instead.

I have my syncmaster 2220wm hooked up to my laptop. How can I get the monitor sound? It is only using the speakers on my laptop...??

Hello a 2250wm is actually a Viewsonic monitor not a Samsung monitor. To get the built in speakers to work you will need to connect the audio cable from your laptop to the monitor audio jack. This cable should have come with your monitor, it will have a headphone 3.5mm plug on both ends of the cable. If you do not have this cable yo will need to get one before you can make the speakers work right. Here is a link so you can get the cable if you need one.

I have a doubt ...which file format support in this tv becaus.. i want to see some videos .. which.. i downloaded in youtube...

Samsung SyncMaster 150MP Monitor does not have any usb connection or built in personal video player it is only tv and pc monitor. I recomend you watch your files over a pc connected to this device. you need a device that has DIVx capability to watch video files such as .avi.

I hope this was useful..

The volume has went off on my tv. its a samsung le26b450c4w

First verify that the mute is disengaged (toggle the mute button). Second, check the sound configuration to make sure the internal speakers are on, or check the sound output to make sure it is going to the inputs of an external audio amplifier (stereo receiver) and that the external amplifier is working. Try a different input source - perhaps the problem is your cable feed or DVD player.
If the internal speakers are on, the volume is up, and you still don't get any sound from a known-good source (TV channel, DVD player, etc.), then try running the sound to a stereo system as described above.
If that works, you may have a shorted speaker amplifier (depending on the set's design, this may blow a fuse supplying power to both left and right amplifiers or a speaker protection circuit will keep the speakers disconnected). These aren't usually hard to repair, but if you find a blown fuse, fix the amplifier before replacing the fuse or you'll just waste another fuse.

I dont have a clue where to turn up the volumen

I don't think your LCD has internal speakers. Does it have a small 3.5mm jack with a speaker symbol (like a headphone jack)? I was looking at a review of your model and there was no speakers listed on the specs.

The Samsung SyncMaster 2233BW does not have built-in speakers, so yes, you need external speakers separately for sound.

Are you still having problems with this monitor?

I posted about a "clicking" sound that has to do with failed capacitors near the speakers' amplifier IC.

If this is your problem, let me know - it can be fixed.

Rhythmic clicking sound when the monitor is on

I just recently posted about this and you might have the same issue with the TDA7268 Audio Amp chip used in the 150MP that I am and currently trying to resolve.

Clicking sound

I found the problem.

I've written up a small article on my website detailing the fix but in summary here:

Electrolytic Capacitors C826 and C835 go bad because of the heat stress applied by the audio amplifier right below them. Replacing those capacitors fixed my 150MP.
