Question about Mag Innovision lt456s 14" Flat Panel LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Monitor Message = "No Signal"

I was given a Mag Innovision LT456 flat screen. (a) I connected it to a Compaq computer. The message "no signal" flashes five times and goes away. The screen is black. (b) I connected it to a Dell Demension computer and get the message "Mode Not Supported." The message stays on the screen.

By the way, I have two regular monitors that work fine with these computers.

Any help

I have a MAG innovision 900p 19" monitor that turns white everytime it is turned on.. I've tried cleaning the dust from the connectors and have tried turning it on and unplugging it. Nothing I can think of...

White screen means that the video signal is not getting from the vga board inside the monitor to the actual lcd screen panel.
It may be a bad vga input board (also called a main board)
OR
It could be simply a bad connection on the wiring harness that connects this board to the lcd panel
Or
it could be a blown fuse on the board on the board that is permanently mounted to the back top of the lcd panel.
I would check the wiring connection to the lcd panel inside the monitor first

I just moved and my monitor is saying it has no signal. Everything is hooked up the way it was. Whats wrong?

Go inside and move the card to another slot. If that doesn't work, take the monitor to a friends house and confirm the monitor is still good.

LT582s Mag Innovision

Hi,

It all depends if the Mag has been used before on the same system or it is a new installation or on a different computer.
  • If it is connected to an existing set-up and has been used previously, then possibly it is the computer's video card/memory or just not booting. Alternately, it could be the video interface/main board of the monitor or even possibly the cable;
  • If it is just being installed on a known good computer, then it could be that the screen resolution and/or the screen refresh rate of the display properties of the computer needs to be lowered down.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

I have the same problem except it usually happens after Ive left my computer idle for a while... i.e . Overnight, I usually turn off the monitor and I hit the button after I come back to turn it on. I get the same flashing light for several minutes. This has been a problem for several months, but only recenly have i gotten the same error message you mentioned. Each time ive booted the computer up cold or restarted it has worked fine but this time it took longer along with displaying the message: Top Left to Right: SH770 P001 Bottom Left to Right: AU M170EN05 Anyone else who can clear this up?

It sounds like this one needs component-level troubleshooting, probably in the power supply section.
