Question about Heating & Cooling
Well as you say that the fan works but the light do not, it means that the light connection's are getting loose. Some time due to loose wire's (connection) the indicator light not work but the unit works.
It do not cause some big problem, but if you want to make it work then you need to open the light panel (display board) and check for the loose connected wires. You can also use a multimeter to check them.
Please post the model number of your Hampton Bay Fan for further information.......
