Connect ANTENNA OUT of STB to antenna terminal on rear of TV OR, for better picture, connect 3-wire cable to color coded L AUDIO, R AUDIO, and video outputs on rear of STB and connect other ends to L AUDIO, R AUDIO, and video inputs on rear of TV.
If STB connected to antenna terminal of TV, set CH 3/4 switch on rear to whichever channel is NOT used in your area.
Connect antenna to ANTENNA IN of STB
Connect STB to power and use STB remote to turn on
Turn on TV
If STB connected to antenna terminal of TV, use TV remote to select channel 3 (or 4).
Use STB remote to select SETUP and perform channel search.
Re-connect to me on the chat and we'll get this sorted. I'm really sorry - I got disconnected and the system would not allow me to reconnect to you. I have some ideas but chat would be easiest. If you don't want to chat, post a message here and I'll message back with some things to try.
You would need to purchase a universal remote, and once you program the universal you would be able to change from cable to antenna or vice versa.
Although there is a slim chance that in the setup screens on your TV (if you can access them by pushing a button on the tv) would have a selection where you could change the 'input' that is selected. If that is not an option, then it is definitely time for a universal remote.
Those tv's really need the remote . I wish the manufacture would put a menu button on all tv's cause this is a common problem when the remote is lost or broken . You can go to www.replacementremotes.com and see if they have a cheap one for sale . good luck
Then the only way to reach your tv is through coaxial antenna port. So
you can buy an rf modulator ( very cheap) and connect your red yellow
and white cables (rca cables from a dvd, game console etc) to the modulator then connect the modulator to your antenna with a coax cable. This worked for me.
