Basically you are gonna hafta put it into recovery mode and then restore it. You will lose any data/info stored on the device unless you have access to the original itunes and account it is synced with. The following forum decribes it well http://forums.ilounge.com/showthread.php?t=221806
This would also be a great time to jailbreak the device with spirit.exe ;-)

Some users report this does not work so you can go the long route here and make sure it will work no matter what http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808?viewlocale=en_US

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have a belkin router i just got a apple ipod touch.to acsess internet on my ipod touch irequire a belkin337b password i bought the router from bestbuy.i put in a new password but it is not accepting

Reset the router. There should be a small button on the back marked "Reset". Hold it down for 30 seconds. Keep holding the button down and unplug the unit from power...keep holding the button down for an additional 30 seconds. Plug router back in and hold reset button for another 30 seconds. This should reset the router to default and remove any password from your wireless signal.

I can not get my code to work on my ipod touch

The only way to reset it if you really do not know the password is to put it in restore mode and connect it to iTunes for a full restore. You cannot restore it in iTunes unless you are in restore mode since you do not have the password.
ALSO! Please know that once you put it in restore and connect to iTunes for the restore process, the apps and songs on the actual iPod Touch will be gone.
Anyway, to put the Touch in restore mode do this:
o put the iPhone / iPod Touch into recovery mode:
- Turn it off (hold the power button on the top down for a few seconds then slide the red slider across from left to right).
- Press and hold the home button (the button on the front, under the screen)
- While still holding the home button, plug it in to the computer
The screen should show something like this:
recoverymode.jpgiPhone / iPod Touch Recovery Mode
You should now be able to use iTunes to restore the iPhone / iPod Touch by clicking the Restore button.

Good luck!!

I was allowed at first to play games on my ipod touch, but now i am not able to, the internet on my ipod touch needs a password and i didn't need one before

Are you saying that when you attempt to play a game, it tries to use the Internet, which then prompts you for a password?

Either someone configured your WiFi network to require a password (ask your friends/family), or you're attempting to connect to someone else's WiFi network that requires a password (tsk tsk).

Or, if you're talking about the screen lock code (4 digit password when you turn on your iPod), and you don't know the code, you'll need to restore your iPod. Connect it to your computer, run iTunes, select your iPod on the left side, then click the "Restore" button.

You can try loading the ipod onto the computer in a special mode:
1) connect the ipod to the computer
2) press and hold the on/off switch for five seconds
3) keep that finger on and with your other hand press and hold the home button for thirty seconds, the          ipod should "turn off"
4) release the on/off button but keep the home button pressed down for ten seconds or until the Apple          logo apears.
This process will require that you re-sync your ipod, there will be nothing on the ipod after this process and will need to re-sync.

Ipod touch - wireless connect to my MSI RG54g2 router

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, to your queries:
  • instruction book - pls click here;
  • passwords - open a browser, the MSI RG54G2 web interface is 192.168.1.254, password is "admin", less the quotes;
  • iPod touch - will auto detect your MSI
  • setting on my router - if allows your computer(s) to access the Internet, no further settings required;
  • iPod can connect to the internet - if no WEP or WPA is set on the MSI router.
This is of course assuming that the MSI RG54G2 is allowing your computers to access the Internet lready and will be shared to the iPod Touch.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.

To connect to the router, you can change the wifi settings on the router by going to 192.168.1.1 in your internet browser and typing in the default username and password. If not, you can reset the router by holding down the reset button for 30 seconds on most routers.
