Question about Televison & Video
Problem # 2 is a convergence issue. If you can solder, you can repair this yourself. As far as problem #1 goes, count the blinks. The set goes into standby as protection from further damage when a problem is detected. The blink count is an internal diagnostic that indicates the circuit in which the problem was detected. Report back here with the blink count if you can.
I'll look up the convergence IC numbers in the mean time.
