INET light is on not able to connect to internet

Checked the instruction manual online. There's no INET light indicated. There's Power, Status, WAN, WLAN, and LAN LEDs. The WAN LED only indicates that the WAN port is connected to another device, e.g., cable or DSL modem. Check on your cable or DSL modem to see if the Internet light is on. If so, then you'll need to log into your router and go through the configuration/setup per the manual for your type of connection.

You can configure it with below method. Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. Then configure wan settings and lan settings enable wireless if you want to use wifi Then save settings and restart router Then connect cable from internet service provider to WAN port of router and connect ethenet lan cable from computer to lan port of router. . Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

Lan driver problem

A D-Link Router is a "plug-and-use" device.
Just connect its 'WAN' port to your cable-modem (or DSL-modem) and connect one 'LAN' port to the network-port on your computer, and you'll be connected -- there is no need for a "LAN-driver" for the DVG-2001S Router.

Cant get online wireless'ly

The procedure is 1st. to connect the LAN cable to the router (not to the LAN port marked WAN) and use the browser to configure the Belkin router for the wireless settings.
In the wireless setup change the SSID from the default SSID to what you like., set up encryption (if your wireless card supports WAP then use WAP encryption, if not use WEP 128bit)
Also change the administrator password (write it down and put it in a safe place).
you can disconnect the LAN cable from the computer and router.
If you had not installed the wireless driver for you wireless card, do so now.
Connect the LAN cable to the WAN port on the router and the other end to the Hughesnet.
Now configure the wireless card with the SSID and the encryption that was set on the router.
If all goes well you should see your router and get on to the Internet.
Get back to me with error messages if you have problems.

Internet driver problem

hi teclay,

in motherboard's cd, the net adapter drivers are included. it uses a Ethernet adapter and works perfectly.

to use the net adapter to a network, you'll need to configure that terminal in Network Connections (Start Menu) to LAN Connection. There you'll type the setting given by the network administrator, where the internet main server is connected (modem to line out).
Remember, the authorization to internet user must be given by the administrator too because of the modem-router, being in a network

complements.
