Question about White Sewing Sewing Machines

1 Answer

My white sewing machine needle keeps breaking.

I have a white free-arm model 1620 sewing machine. My needle keeps breaking because it is no longer lined up to the presser foot and the hole to the bobbin. How do I adjust it?

Take it to a sewing machine repair shop, so the needle bar can be checked, & also the timing

How to fit needle in nina 787 overlocker

Perhaps it is not the correct needle for the machine. There are some needles that are a tad bit longer than the standard sewing needle (my non-Bernina coverstitch takes a longer needle). Although not familiar with the 787, most Bernina sergers use the same needle as a Bernina sewing machine.

When installing the needle, be sure to push it all the way up (as far as it will go) when tightening the skrew.

If it continues to break the needle, the machine could be out of time and need service.

My White sewing machine model 312 sounds like a tractor and keeps breaking the thread. It's one of the worst sewing machines I have ever owned. Rose Comeau

Have you changed the needle? I know that sounds simple, but can cause a lot of trouble if using an old needle. And clean out under the needle plate - this is important. Also try rethreading.

Bottom thread keep breaking , sew an inch then break !!

Make sure that the needle is all the way up in the needle bar.
Unscrew until just loose, use finger nail or small screw driver to push up on the needle. The two needles do not line up.The right needle extends longer. Also, make sure that there are no burs on the needles and that they are straight and correct for your machine.
