Deep freeze compressor not kicking on.

I have a Haier chest deep freeze and the compressor stopped kicking in automatically, when i kick the freezer the compressor kicks on for its normal cycle and then stops when it reaches operating temperature. But then it doesnt kick back on by itself without kicking it.

I have deep freezer chest that does not freeze but when you plug it in you can hear it click on but will not get cold at all has been unplugged for a few years but stored in a dry building

If it doesn't get cold at all, then your compressor is not running. Which could be the start relay or start capacitor or even the compressor. The relay and capacitor are not that expensive and pretty easy to replace, but if it is the compressor then you might not want to put that much money into an older unit.

GE chest freeze won't get cold

the noise your hearing indicates the possibility of a bad start relay on the comp or possibly it just came loose during the move. on the side of the compressor you will see 2-3 wires running into an electrical connection reseat this first. if still no operation replace teh relay. you can purchase thru any reputable appliance parts dealer. after replacing the relay if you have no operation then likely problem is seized comp.
domestic freezers do not have low pressure switches that indicate low freon charge.
