Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
Hi. The problem with your drive is that you need to flash it, this happens when you switch out the drive of your console for another one (obviously). You see, each xbox 360's motherboard comes with it's own unique key and each key is married to the dvd drive, without this key your new dvd drive won't work. If you replaced the old drive with a new one of the same model all you need to do is open the old dvd drive, remove the circuit board and replace it in the new one. you can follow this link for visual instructions on how to do that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5hdC2kx4-Y ....... now if you replaced it with a different model of drive say a hitachi for a samsung you will need to flash the new drive, which really isn't for novices but with proper instructions I'm sure you can get it done, follow this tutorial, you'll have to register on the site first to see the tutorial, don't worry it's free to register..http://xbox360iso.com/showthread.php?t=95039 .
Have a good one!
