Hello. If both sets are in the same house and you do not have surge protection on them I suspect that your home suffered power surge. That said, if you want to pursue the fix yourself, go to this link

Anyone know how to fix a Panasonic Viera 50" Plasma that powers off a couple seconds after powering on?

tThe diagnostic circuits is shutting your TV down. In most cases the set will shut it down immediately. Apparently your set hasn't shut completely down yet. When you turn your TV on the diagnostic circuits send a low voltage, low frequency signal through all the circuits and depending on how they come back whether the sets powers up to full power. If a problem is detected it will shut down to protect the other circuits. It sounds like you might have some capacitors going bad on your power board. A capacitor that is going bad would let it come on for a few seconds then the diagnostic circuits would see the capacitor getting further out of tolerance and shut the set down. If you are a DYS type person you might want to lay it flat of it;s face and remove the back. A bad capacitor will be bulged out on the top. are Replace capacitors with the exact uf value and if you can go above the rated voltage but never below., If this isn't the problem then it is probably the main board (the board where your cable hooks up to), There are other things that cab causes for this but I would check the capacitors first.

Safe and easy shut down for regular Desktop users

Hai from Vishu
For Desktop Systems
when all applications are closed user can depress power button once for a second located on front panel of CPU(not the reset button) to initiate shutdown at one go when system is to be shutdown.( Applicable for all P4 cpu ONLY and not for older system where this action shuts down CPU immediately...)

E3 error on LIfesmart heater

Even after replacing thermostat and motherboard offered from company, my heater would trigger e3 error code and shut off. After several (maybe 100!) different attempts to plug in and operate, here is what worked for me!
Depress the power button on the heater while plugging in to wall circuit. Continuously depress power button. It will run through a test cycle and attempt to start. Keep depressing the power button as the heater tries to start, then shuts down with e3 error. While the power button is still depressed, unplug the unit from the wall. When I plug back in the wall the E3 error is gone. Good luck

My Sony Music system DVX MP3 is not getting on when the power button on the music system/remote is pressed. The red light is blinking. Please let me know what is the problem?

Possible that the output is short as the protect is shutting off the system.
remove off the speakers and try once again.. If not remove plug and keep aside to reset or try to depress menu/select while power plug is put into.
If the fault satys you will have to disconnect the output, power to sub circuits and check if the set triggers.
Make sure the mP IC gets voltage and reads remote signals.

I have a sony trinitron su-28fx2 it wont power up, the standby button just blinks in sets of 3

Your B+ over voltage protection (OVP) has a fault on caused you TV to shut down. Power Supply circuit. Check the transformers and resistors on that circuit board.
After repairs you will need to clear the errors while in the service mode.

Push power on button; lites up then goes off

there may be many reason behind this, according to you, its switching circuit is ok. but when u switch it on ,the voltage goes to different circuits but due to short circuit between there path. it giving shut down signal so its shutting down imediatelly. basically this the fault of sort circuit. this may happen due to core voltage short(maximum chances), gmch controllar, south bridge(very less chance). u may try.hope this may helpfull for u to identify ur problems.

No Power up on depressing On/Off button.

Sometimes if the CPU is overheatign it will power down to stop the cpu from buring out. A power suppluy just supplies power to the motherboard and that's it. If the CPU gets hot it shuts down and wont start till it cools down again.
