There are many reasons why an update wont complete. Normally you are given an error number. Try googling this and see what answers there are. Another reason is faulty internal hardware for example if your blu ray drive is faulty it will not complete an update.

Hope this helps.

Hello I have a upgrade R4 but i cannot get on to the menu.As i get it on with the cartridge,it says - System date error! Please check NDS system date.I keep on checking, but nothing seems to work.

Go into your DS time and date settings and put the date back a few weeks. This will solve the problem temporarily until a new kernel update is brought out for the R4 card.

Hope this helps

When loading a game it says system date error please check NDS date

Is the date/time on the system correct? If not, set the date and see if that solves the problem.
If this doesn't work, try setting the date back one day, or failing that, one year. That often solves the problem.

My ds lite has: "system date error" how do i fix

Hi there,

Let us investigate in this matter and try to resolve it.

Since the 10th of April, 2010, some users of the Nintendo DS and DSi and the R4i SDHC card have experienced an error that stops the DS card / DSi card from being used. The error contains the message “Loading… System date error! Please check NDS system date” when a user turns on their Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS Lite, Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL console.
The reason of this error seems to be an incompatibility between the actual system date on the Nintendo DS console and the R4i SDHC card. This is possible of the Nintendo DS was played until it lost all power, or if the memory card within the R4i SDHC was formatted incorrectly. It can also be attributed to the date simply being incorrectly calibrated. In some situations, transferring a .SAV file from another Nintendo DS that has a different system date on it, can also trigger the problem. It currently seems to be that the problem only manifested itself after the 10th of April, 2010. While the team behind the R4i SDHC are working on a fix to be a future part of a software update, consumers are advised to go into their Nintendo DS system settings and set the date back until the R4i SDHC card can continue to function as normal. In some cases, setting the date back up to a month is required to temporarily solve the problem.
google_protectAndRun("ads_core.google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad); Until a software solution is found, the R4i SDHC team would suggest consumers keep their dates wound back. To hear the latest about what solutions, both temporary and permanent, please visit the blog on http://www.dscardworld.com where solutions will be tested before presented to the public.
Hope that works.

System date error! please check NDS system date

It's a bug issue in the firmware of the R4 cards. Won't work after 14 april 2010 unless you update the firmware of the R4 card.
For the time being you can set back the date before 14 april 2010 and it wil work directly.

Tried this myself - you could actually set it back to 2009, so just change the year, not the date.

System won't play new games - system up date failed

Try updating your Wii in the Settings menu, you will have to have a Wifi connecting to do this. If you do not have WiFi in your house can update your console via a New Release Wii Game such as Mario Kart

Most new games like Mario Kart or Madworld must have the 4.0 update to be played

hope this helps you some, please rate this solution
