Hi the computer seem to loose its sound drivers which can be reinstall again.I am not sure are what brand is your computer and i am not sure if it is a laptop or desktop but you can go to the manufacturer website and click on the support option and choose your model and type of computer and download the sound/audio drivers or you can click this link and download the audio drivers for the computer this is easier: http://download.cnet.com/Realtek-AC-97-Audio-Driver-XP-W2K-W98-WDM-driver-VER-5-10-0-5554-zip/3000-2110_4-210198.html?tag=mncol
after you click the link you will see " download now" click on it and follow the steps.
