Most of the new tv's have this option. You'll need a cable that has the correct connections for the computer and the tv. You just simply hook the two up together. You may be able to use the cable that your current monitor is hooked to the computer with as long as it isn't built into the monitor. Then you will have to change the input on the tv using the input button to the correct position. Most of the tv's will have it labeled as "PC". Make sure the computer is on before you start pressing the input button, and you should have a picture when you've got it on the correct input.

You should call a good TV Tech. This problem cannot be solved by a consumer. The one thing you might try is to unplug it from the wall for a few minutes and then try it again.

sounds like yor green crt is shorted or you have some bad solder connections on the green CRT socket. Check the board with the green CRT socket for cracked solder. if the soler looks good your CRT is probably shorted.

The component connections are usually video only and the audio goes to separate connectors set aside for that input. Check your manual to make sure you have all the connections made.

Sony Color Rear Video Projector- KP-61V45

You have already diagnose the problem, the set has a loose conection in the high voltage area or horizontal drive circuits but dont be suprize if you find more loose conections or overheated areas, while you are looking for this loose conection giving you this problem take the time and correct any other questionable spot.If you are familiar with tv service this will give a place to start but if you are not too familiar be safe and call for assistance from a servicer,it should not be expensive.Let us know if youu need more help.
