My samsung nc10 screen goes white whilst charger plugged vin

The charge adapter is faulty. You need a new power adapter for your model Samsung notebook.

White screen usually means fried video card or graphics card on motherboard. Can you plug into a external computer monitor? If you can do that there maybe a shortcut key on your F-keys to display screen on external monitor.

Its mainly occur in hardware problem only.. In Western Cape South Africa also samsung service centres is available....I attached the address below go and check it there...your problem will be solved...

It could be a driver or bios firmware issue.

If I were you I would check the support page for your model on Samsungs website, then download and install the latest bios and video driver for your model.

Hmm, this is an interesting one. I've had some issues in the past with screen behaviour or with a hissing sound on lcds when the charger is plugged in. Try closing the lid (hence screen is momentarily off) before plugging in power, see if it's ok when you open the lid.

the lcd cable that joins the screen to the motherboard is most probably faulty under AC power input. To fix it you need a new ribbon cable. Samsung will charge to sort it without warranty however the NC10 has a 12 month warranty so check your receipt date. Failing that a local computer shop is likely to be the cheapest option.

The problem you are experiencing is from either the screen of your laptop,the screen board which holds the screen in place or the screen bulb which lights up your screen.

You should get an expert to diagnose which one of the three is faulty, but at least one of the three things i have listed is faulty.

I have an NC10 and it is doing the same. if you press fn+down keys together 2 or three times, it will darken the screen and no longer be white, I know it sounds weird but it is just a workaround that works.
Another one to try is to tilt the screen backwards.

I think there is an inherent problem with the screen that has to do with the voltage. Hope it helps.

I too had this problem with my NC10, and i found that on the back, the little slider holding on the battery casing was not in the locked position. As soon as I locked the slider, the problem was solved and has not occurred again.Might not be the case for all these posts above, but worth checking your before having to get involved with customer services etc.

Take it back to the store and get the manufacturers to fix it.
