All you need is Upgrade your 3110c Fimware. What you need is only Data Cable and Nokia Software Updater. You can Download Nokia Software Updater from www.nokia.com. To Upgrade firmware your 3110c with Nokia Software Updater,you need to Connect to the internet. what you have to do is : 1. Connect your internet, 2. and connect you phone to Computer, 3. and then Open Nokia Software Updater. Nokia Software Updater will work by it self.so this is realy easy.

after changing the product code , reinstall the firmware via Nokia Software updater and you will be all set

then enter the code which is located at the back of your phone. you can check the your current firmware by typing *#0000# from the standby screen

if it shows that theres a latest software version than the current version of your phone then upgrade your software using Nokia PC Suite. then it will reset your security code and settings.
I too did the same thing with my E61i and lost the phone. Luckily it was in warranty period, so I got a new E63 instead.
Samething has happened to your E71. That is why I always advise people to get their phones upgraded thru Nokia Care as they do it with their computers and not via the internet, which is always dicey.
I hope your phone was under warranty. If yes then tell Nokia Care immediately and have it replaced. You may still be replaced with E71 as it is still under production. All the best.
1) Do _not_ turn off the mobile phone! 2) Remove the Memory Card (MMC) from the locked phone and put it into a second mobile. Install FExplorer on the second mobile phone. Create the directory E:SystemRecogs and copy thc-nokia-unlock.mdl into this directory. 3) Remove the Memory Card and place it into the locked phone. The THC-NOKIA-UNLOCK program should start after 120 seconds. 4) Remove the battery. Remove the MMC. Put the battery back and restart. The Phone Lock has been reset to "12345".
