Please explain what year a X registration vehicle is ,as i have no idea ,last one i remember was a T 1978 .Now i think that this alarm fob might need re-programming into the vehicle where you swing on the aerial whilst holding the key fob in teeth and pressing the brake and the FM button on the radio at the same time ,When my all data books arrive next week i might be able to help but yes i have had this problem before and yes we do have these vehicles here in spain but mainly diesels ,now last time it happened when a customer changed the batterys i held the button down on the fob then turned the ignition on and it all sort of bleeped and started working ,but perhaps an american person with more experiance than myself might know how to do it correctly ,Now if you ask me about a humber hawk or a morris minor??

I have a 2006 Jeep grand Cherokee my key fob alarm stopped working put a new battery in it what else can I do

The key fob will need to be reprogrammed to the vehicle since when the battery was replaced in the key fob, the key was reset. This is why nothing is working with the key fob. After replacing the battery in the key fob remote, you will need to reprogram the remote to the vehicle

My 1997 jeep grand Cherokee alarm system keep arming itself about a minute after car is turned off even if car is unlocked with windows down can someone help

Speaking from prior experience, It's possible that the door lock latch assembly may need replacing usually the drivers side or the lift gate latch assembly. These are the 2 that can arm & disarm the alarm system. You may have a faulty switch in either of these. Hope this helps.

The jeep car i just bought ,the key fob that open the car,or puts the alarm off does not work, but to put the alarm on that works at a close range.how can this be fixed

Check the key fob battery. Second take the key fob to your local parts store chain and have them check to see if it is transmitting a signal. Hope this helps.

Security system not responding to key fob signal input

When my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee will unlock the doors but not deactivate the security system it is always time to change the battery in the key fob. Don't order a new fob, just pry the fob open (carefully) and replace the battery. I buy mine from Batteries + and they cost like $.80 a piece + tax.

2005 Grand Cherokee: my alarm is activated on my jeep and it won't star...

Replace the battery in th key fob to allow you to deactivate the alarm system. Use a small thin edged screw driver to pop open the cover on the fob to replace the battery.

Remote goes off continueouslly and unless battery cable remove won't stop. Also, vechicle won't start.

Some Jeep models have the ability to reset the alarm by following this procedure. Connect the battery cables and allow the antitheft alarm to trigger (usually horn honking and lights flashing). Use your ignition key to lock, unlock, lock and unlock the passenger front door. This should reset the system to be used normally. If your key fob is the problem, remove batteries to stop alarm trigger and have dealership test and/or replace fob. Hope this helps.
