Question about Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

Rinnai Avenger 25 switching off

The portable gas heater starts up as normal and then after a few seconds it begins to blow out at a very high speed. A few seconds later it cuts out and stops working. It has the number 13 flashing on the top panel but I no longer have the owners manual.

I had the same problem.
Try cleaning the two filters at the  back of the heater very thoroughly. It worked for me.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I have an avenger 25 plus it is showing the locked signal. how do i unlock it as i have lost my manual thank you

If you press the UP & Down Temperature Buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds, the unlock feature will unlock. To lock it, do the same thing.

For future reference, I have included a link to your Owner's Manual that you can download and print for future reference. Ater doing so, please keep it in a safe, accessible place.

Rinnai avenger 25 wont switch on and has a key symbol displayed

O.K If it just the child lock that has been activated then press both the UP and DOWN buttons together for 3 seconds. The lock indicator light should then go out. If there is no power at all it may be something more sinister.
Cheers

Rinnai Avenger 25 gas heater being used. Now we get soot on walls and windows. Is this normal ?

In my experience soot in the house is (almost) always caused by the burning of candles. Get a CO detector if you don't already have one!
