HP 2420d always prints off a confirmation after each print, how do i stop it?

ensure that u r using a hp cartidges
dis problem persists when u r nt using hp cartidges or u have rifilled the cartides
also sometimes when the printhead of the cartideges is defective u face same problem

My HP laser 2420d will not print. Meaning, it will not display information in the screen from print preview not will it display any of the information on paper. It prints out a blank sheet of typed...


Clarification please.

Is it printing out a blank sheet or is it printing out typed information????? It can't do both.

How do I change tray settings from tray 1 to tray 2?


Hi,

Browse through the menu's of the printer
Paper Handling Menu, Set
Tray 1: Any size / Any Type.
Tray 2: A4 Size / Plain Type.

This should solve the issue

I found out that another person was networked with my computer so I disconnected them and the printer is now in great working order.

Solution


first upgrade the firmware from HP page
second try to print from diferent port
third if the 2 other solutions dont work for you, replace the formatter.

Stop the printing jobs


start -settings-printer-open your hp printer by double click,and cancel all documents,
switch of the printer
restart to confirm the delete
