Question about Zircon International Stud Sensor Z-Card 62168/57953

1 Answer

My Zircon i520 is not registering any kind of information after I start sliding it across the wall. My son's older model did produce a reading on the same walls. I have plaster over some type of wallboard (no lathe). It beeps 2x then 5 more times, then the screen just glows with no info. Followed all directions. Have tried deep scan as well.

The most common cause of failure in stud finders, with or without wiring detection, is a flat battery!
The lights may still work, the buzzer may still sound but at the end of the day it can take a bit of power to drive the oscillator/sensor circuitry. Replace the battery and try again.
If that doesn't work you may have a faulty unit: return it to the manufacturer because if you depend on it to tell you where live wires are, let alone finding the stud first time, it may cost more than just dollars!

What oven heating element?

Hello Mary, I am happy to assist you!

I understand that you are unable to read the model number in the storage drawer of your Frigidaire range and that you are seeking the replacement part number for the element in your oven. Are you needing the bake or broil element? Do you remember if you register your range? In this regard, I would highly recommend reaching out to the manufacturer directly to verify if indeed your range was register in order to provide you the correct part number. Best regards - Z

Tip

Free heat from your own furnace

to greatly increase the efficiency of all forced air heating systems use aluminum duct tape and tape all joints in the ductwork The hot air ducting from the furnace right to the register in the floor or walls should be air tight to keep heat from escaping .Also the cold air returns and all associated ducting should be taped at all joints to ensure maximum air flow . Taping all ducting will not only provide more heat to all rooms of your house it will also produce less dust from leaking cold air ducting which sucks in air and dust from areas typically not cleaned (wall and floor cavities) . I did this in my older home and found I had to close off some registers because of the huge increases of volume which provided extra heat volume for the rooms that needed it.The house is now consistantly warm in all parts

I have a hp media center pc Model a1210n which recently has had a clean install to factory condition done by by son-in- law. Now the DVD does not read disc

DVD codecs are missing. You can download a codec pack for free and install. This should solve your prob. Older DVD rom drives did not come with onboard codecs. When you format and reinstall the registered codec can get cleaned away. Like baby out with the bathwater...............

Casio 230ER - will still register sales but wont produce X/Z readings. Is there a battery pack that needs replacing?

If the machine is working in REG mode, then it should produce reports as well. If you turn the key to Z mode and press CASH, what happens? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If anyone needs more information, the Casio 230ER user and programming manual is here: http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Casio_230ER_operation_and_programming_complete_manual.html

To register with PayPal you need your email address. If your email address has been used by your son then PayPal will not register you. So, get a new email address.

Manual

I couldn't find a link for a free download of the manual for you machine.

CASIO has a FAQ for Basic Cash Registers, with a section with information about PCR-308 and other older cash register models:
http://www.casio.com/support/techsupport/229A0A06-3143-4540-91A2-D2167AA37911

Here is a link to Table Tax Programming on PCR-308:

Also, I have read in some site that the manual for PCR-355 also programms the PCR-308 model. If that is so, you can download the manual for PCR-355 model from here:

Where can I find a copy of the schematics for an older model carrier heat pump

Find your closest TOTALINE (Carrier parts dept) and see if they would be kind enough to give you a web link or print it out. You can try the carrier website, parts but I think one has to be registered with carrier to access that information.

Computer shows invalid system disc, wont let me do anything else

This might be simple.
Assuming your son didn't make any internal changes to your computer. The problem may be that he changed your boot sequence to boot to floppy or CD instead of the Hard Drive.
Do the following:

As your computer is starting you will briefly have the option to hit F8 (I think F8 Might be another) for "start up menu or options".
This will take you to a screen of text where following the on screen text areas and moving the curser with the keyboard arrows and enter or escape check your boot sequence (the order of where your computer is to look for start up information)

It should read as follows:
#1 HDD1 (this text may vary)
#2 CDROM drive
#3 FLOPPY (if you have one) or other removable drive

If your son changed this and forgot to it back your computer may be trying to get start up information from a CD or Floppy instead of your hard drive.

Once you've changed this (assuming you needed to change it) following the instructions use the key to "save changes and exit"
Your computer should now boot up correctly.

Let me know if this helps
