Question about HP Mini 1000 Netbook
You didn't say what version of windows you use. With some versions you can bypass the password in the safe mode. When the computer starts press F8 until it starts to beep. This gives you the option of starting in safe mode. When you get to the screen where you should put in the password you get the option to log in as administrator with no password required. Log in, go to control panel, find your username and change or delete the password.
If you cannot get in this way there is a program available from http://www.windows-password-recovery.net/ which costs 36 euros or 49 dollars. When you pay for it you get the option to download an image file which you burn to a cd. You can then boot any windows computer with this cd and it gives you the option to delete the log on password without going into windows. You then remove the cd and restart windows with no password.

Start off by rebooting your computer and tap F8 vigorously until you get into the boot menu, select starting in "Safe mode". Don't be alarmed by all the scrolling text that's rushing cross the screen. Enter the control panel and click your way to the Administrative tools\ Administrator user. Unless you've meddled with this (which is highly unlikely, unless you've reinstalled XP), Click your way through and "Log in as Admin". Press 'Yes' at the box asking if you would like to continue using Safe Mode. Now go back to the Use/Admin panel you were in before, when logging in as an admin and type in a new password for your "lost" accounts.
If that doesn't work, I'm drawing a blank, since most other options you have besides this will likely wipe your C:-drive clean.
