This is an indication of a mechanical error. There is a factory mod available for this model, I believe, that will repair this. The CD loading mechanism needs to be rebuilt and a modification made. You should take this unit to an authorized Panasonic service center and request the modification.

I have a panasonic sa-ak520 but when i turn it on it juzt stays for 5 seconds thn automatically turns off n say f61 error

I don't have a remote for my panasonic sa-xr25. Can I turn off the surround/enhanced button from the receiver?


Get your reading glasses out. There's a button marked "Enhance Surround" two clicks to the left of the Volume Control.

I thought it might be heat related, so I put a small battery operated fan behind the receiver, and voila, no more clicking. I just have to invest in rechargable batteries or an electric fan.
