Question about HP Officejet H470 InkJet Printer

1 Answer

I try to print a pdf file made with Microsoft SSRS to a H470 printer. This file contains labels to ship documentation to customers. The file can be print correctly with other printers (HP laser, Lexmark laser) . We use the latest driver available for windows OJH470_Full_13.exe (15-01-2010). Is there a fix for that?

It seems you haven't mentioned the exact problem. Would you mind telling me the problem when you give a print command? or Can't you print any document using the printer? or Blank printout? etc.. etc.. Let me help you fix it. Since there are many problems related printing, I can't assume myself. Thanks.
(This is only a clarification, not a solution)

Awaiting.

Yes, Excuse-me. I was not able to update my case.

I'am able to print but the alignment of the labels are incorrect. So the page one is printing a bit on physical page 2 and so on.

Need more details? I can send you a sample file.

Thank you, now let's try this first: After you click the "Print" on the pdf reader Menu, Select the paper size, print quality etc.. from the Printer's "Properties" and then, select "Fit to Page" from the "Page Scaling" options, also don't forget to select "Document and Annotations" from the "Print What" options.

If the problem persists, do let me know.

    Good luck.

    Thanks for using FixYa.

Why is the text printing on Zebra LP 2844-Z label incorrectly spaced?

Zebra printers are not really made to print PDF files, if the only option is PDF I'd recommend switching to print on a laser. Also open the PDF and see if they are correct in the original doc

try going to driver printing preferences /paper or paper/quality tab and set your size for custom and to the 4 x 6 specific size for that sheet and the type as labels for tray 1.

When printing from word the paper jams in printer.. works fine in all other programs

I work at a printing center at my college, sometimes this happens to the students that print. When printing it could be the word document itself: the file could be too big, or the printer could be reading the file wrong. Try saving the word document to a PDF (Print, Print as PDF), then try printing it. That way the printer reads it as a sort of image and not a .doc file, or .wrd file.

My printer won't print ADOBE files, but prints all word documents

I believe you are misunderstanding what you're "telling" the computer to do. You are telling the computer (I assume in Microsoft Word, but perhaps elsewhere) to generate an electronic document in PDF format. (I believe PDF stands for Portable Document Format)
It uses a printing metaphor because like a paper copy, the PDF file is designed for people to read, not edit the document you have created. Also, some PDF-making software methods involve pretending to be a printer, which allows the user to make a PDF file in any program that would normally only output your work to a printer.
Most people, when wanting to print a PDF document onto paper, open it with Adobe's Acrobat Reader (which is free software) and print the document from there. For sharing a document that you want no changes to, this is a superior option to sending people an MS Word .doc (or .docx) file, which does not have its information "locked" onto virtual pages in the file.

I hope this helped!

Printer LCD says Cartridge Problem - Tri-Color. Refer to device documentation to troubleshoot.

Before you can troubleshoot the problem, you need to determine its cause.
To determine the cause of the printing problem:
1. Print another PDF file, such as the first page of Acrobat Help:
-- If that file prints correctly, the PDF file that doesn't print correctly may be damaged. See "Resolve problems printing a specific PDF file from an Acrobat product" in this document.
-- If the file doesn't print correctly, go to step 2.
2. Print another type of file (for example, a .txt file) from another application (such as Microsoft Word or WordPad):
-- If that file prints correctly, the problem isn't system-wide--it's specific to the Acrobat product. However, the way Acrobat interacts with the system may affect printing performance. Go to step 3 to eliminate some system-related causes of the problem.
-- If the file doesn't print correctly, the problem is system-wide--it isn't specific to Acrobat or PDF files. The problem could be low system resources, insufficient memory on your printer, or a poor connection between your computer and the printer. Go to step 3 to eliminate some likely causes of the problem.
3. Restart your computer, and then print a PDF file:
-- If the file prints correctly, your system may have been out of memory or resources.
-- If the file doesn't print correctly, go to step 4.
4. Turn off your printer for at least 15 seconds to flush its memory, and then turn it back on and print a PDF file:
-- If the file prints correctly, the printer's memory was too full.
-- If the file doesn't print correctly, go to step 5.
5. Print from another computer:
-- If the file prints correctly, the computer you first tried to print from may be unable to connect to the printer or the network correctly. Contact your network administrator or consult your network documentation.
-- If the file doesn't print correctly, go to step 6.
6. Print a PDF file to another printer:
-- If the file prints correctly, the computer you first tried to print from may be unable to connect to the original printer because of a communication, hardware, or memory problem. Make sure that the printer is turned on and connected properly, and then run a self-test on it to make sure that it's working correctly. For instructions, see the documentation that came with the printer. You may want to contact your network administrator for assistance.
-- If the file doesn't print correctly, see "Resolve problems printing any file from any application" in this document.
you can try these option and then try to resolve them and you can find the solution on follwing link==http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/316/316508.html
