Do you know how to find the code for the master reset?

  • piggybankauc Jul 29, 2010

Okay, I did the master reset. Code =000000. But it's still not picking up. I believe I have to use bluetooth or car connection. I will try that later. Any other suggestions?

    Hi,

I tried the auto answer feature with the bluetooth and with the car charger/connection and neither allowed it to work - still not answering the call. I'm still open to suggestions.

A Motorola bluetooth headset is an affordable and user-friendly headset. To use a bluetooth headset with a cell phone, the user must first pair the headset and the cell phone with each other. This is a simple process whereby the headset and the phone are "introduced" to each other so that they can work together. After pairing, they will be able to detect each other and work together to enable hands-free use of the cell phone

  • Charge the headset. Turn the headset off and insert the connecting plug into the end of the bluetooth headset. Leave the charger plugged into the headset until the light on the charger turns green. Disconnect the bluetooth headset and the charger.

  • Step 2.Activate the cell phone's bluetooth ability. Find the bluetooth function within the menu settings and turn it to the "on" position.

  • Step 3.Turn the bluetooth headset on. Most Motorola bluetooth headsets indicate they are ready for pairing with a steady blue light. Press the on button until the headset displays a steady blue light.

  • Direct the cell phone to look for bluetooth devices with which to pair. Within the bluetooth menu, find "Look for Devices."

  • Step 5Select the bluetooth headset when the cell phone detects it. Click the "OK" button when the cell phone confirms the pairing. Enter "0000" for the passkey when prompted. Click "OK."

  • Step 6Confirm the pairing. The headset indicator light should now be flashing blue and purple.
Test the pairing by making a call. Dial a number on the cell phone and make sure you hear the ringing and voice in your bluetooth headset.

    Hi,

I appreciate your help. I already had the bluetooth paired and functioning properly. The problem is still the auto answer of the headset. It does not answer when a new call is coming in. It just continues to ring and not pick up/answer the call. I want it to answer the call without pressing or touching anything.

You should try to update the phone software if its possible, if thats not possible it may mean your phone is not design for automatically answering calls.

Hi, the auto answer feature on a motorola v3 does not mean it will automatically pick up a call when it comes in, rather it means it picks up the call as soon as you open the flip.
    Take care

With the auto answer feature turned off, the phone can be anwsered when the phone is opened during a call so I don't think this is totally correct.

I've got a Motorola RAZR 3 or 4 years old. I just bought a new car with Bluetooth (Ford Sync). How do I get the car to recognize the phone?

In order to make other devices see your motorola mobile phone, you should enable "discovery mode", which is activated in Bluetooth menu of your phone.
Please be aware that this feature is turning on only for 3 minutes, then new devices won't be able to find your cell phone. If 3 minutes is not enough, you can activate this feature again (and again).
This procedure is only required for initial pairing, there is no need to perform this operation every time.
    Hope this helps!

    No service phone

Let's start with the basics here. Do you have a service provider? Is it activated? Is the phone activated? If NO, then you need to subscribe to one and have them activate the phone. You simply may not have activated the phone before using it. If the answer is YES, then you may be in a "dead zone" or "bind spot". Move to different locations (several blocks sometimes). There are whole neighborhoods without service especially in the mountains. Are you in such a community? If these answers did not solve your problem then you need to take the phone back to the store you got it from.
