hi, what spped do you think its going at the moment ? , the output of the controller is normally set around 80 to 85 % , from experience not always a great increase in speed, 15mph top, aveage 12 mph.
regards
I am not familiar with your generator but mostly there is no idle speed on a generator. When started the engine would usually run at a preset speed from the first - this is so the Hz or c/s per second of the output is correct.
When an electrical load is applied to the output there would be a tendency for the engine speed to slow and it is the job of the governor, whether mechanical or electronic, to return the engine speed to the preset value as quickly and smoothly as possible.
A mechanically governed engine does give an (incorrect) impression it speeds up when a load is applied but in reality it is only returning to the preset speed.
The engine speed of a generator should not be tampered with unless an accurate Hz meter is available - the only method of checking/adjusting the engine speed of a generator.
Page 65 of the manual discusses adjusting the print speed, for "fingerprint" not IPL. (I'm not sure what that refers to, but it appears to be the language used by the printer.)
If you are refering to print speed, from the label format, press F5 to bring up the LABEL & SETUP PROPERTIES. Click on LABEL OPTIONS and print speed will be the first choice.
If you are refering to how fast data is sent to the printer, then that depends on the connection to the PC and whether you are using true-type fonts or not.
Do you know the print speed that you are using? I would slow it down to about 7 ips and adjust the Darkness until you are happy. Some companies want all this speed and the machine cannot do a good job at high speeds (10 ips). If you are not able to over-ride their speed, call them. It will increase your print quality a great deal.
The print speed is the second setting on the menu. Don't forget to save the settings when you are finished (use "Permanent"). Good luck!
Are you printing a serial or parallel barcode? If you don't know, a serial barcode looks like a ladder as it prints out on the label. A parallel barcode looks like a picket fence. A serial barcode (ladder) prints at 2.5 ips by default. You can't increase the speed. If you're printing a parallel barcode (picket fence) you must hit "enter' once you adjust the speed setting in the printer menu. If you've done that and it still won't increase speed, then the speed is set by the software itself, and overrides any changes you make in the printer menu. The speed adjustment must then be made in the software, not the printer.
