No power on light

That's interesting.. After researching that model I can tell you that it has an intergrated internal power supply(transformer) which does contain a fuse. It is located where your power cord plugs into, inside the unit, start with that. Was it plugged into a surge protector? When you had the power failure the second time was there a fluctuation of power, ie your lights in your house flickering on or off or increasing, decreasing in brightness? This will help me determine if it's something else. Also be sure to check your power cord, look for any kinks, breaks, chips in insulation. Anyway Good Luck

Runco CL710 projector. Had power outage and projector won't turn on. Project was plugged into surge protector. Surge protector is working, green light is on. Checked all electrical breakers, they are...

The capacitors on the power supply need to be replaced. When you take apart the projector, and then remove the power supply (it's the section that the power cord goes to) and open it up. Look for the little can capacitors and see if any of them are bulging on top. That is the sign that they've blown. Replace the big ones (about 5) for about $5 in parts. Reassemble and test by turning it on. Search for YouTube video for this.

Eiki EIP 1600T projector will not power on. Projector was running when power went off for just a few seconds. Will not power back up now. I have power to projector.

inside there is a thermal fuse, that might be activated, because the cooling of the lamp did not happen after the power surge.
You need to remove the upper cabinet to reach, but do this very carefully !!

My projector can't on

I assume you mean it has no power? This is fairly common with the NEC VT460,VT470,VT595. The power board/Power Supply has failed. I can usually repair or replace the power supply for $170
If you're familiar with electronics you can try checking the main power fuse by removing all the screws on the bottom of the projector & taking the cover off. The fuse is located just next to the ac plug. Test it using a continuity tester with long testing probes. If it's ok then the power board is bad & needs repair.
If it's bad replace with the same type fuse. You can bring the fuse to Radio Shack for identification or look on the power board next to the fuse holder for fuse amperage.
If you would like a repair please contact me at PRMHELP@EARTHLINK.NET
Thanks & good luck,
Jim

Data projector is not turning on. How can I check for broke fuses?

open up the top case. the fuse will be on the power supply board right next to where the power cord plugs in. you'll need a continuity tester to test it. if it is blown, replace it with the exact size and type. if it is not blown, replace the power supply.

the power supply needs replacing. sometimes the caps are dried up, but show no signs of damage. when the caps doesn't work, the ps doesn't work.

Hi there

Replacing the lamp won't make any difference at all.

If you have checked the fuse on the Powersupply Board and it tested ok , then the whole Board will need replacement.

Won't Power-On

Do you have a VOM meter? Unplug the set and open the back, the fuse should be easy to find "small glass cylinder with a metel cap on each end. Test it for continuity. If it tests good or shorts again after replaceing then there is a lot of other things that can be wrong. Let us know. If you replace it it is important to use the same exact value which should be written on the board next to it also NEVER jump it with a wire! Hope this helps. Don
