Most likely the problem is located on the main board, although it is posiible that it could be on another board. Some tests would be required to tell for sure. If it is the indeed the main board, a shop would charge anywhere from $200 - $350 to change it, depending on how much the part costs. If the tech is able to repair that board, it would likely cost a lot less. It should be fairly easy to change. You can go to shopjimmy.com and enter your model number, and find the board labeled "main" and get an idea on what the part costs. If I had to guess, I'd say the board would cost $100 - $150. Also make sure that any cables didn't accidentally come loose.

I have a seven year Plasma TV HP PL5060. When I turn on the TV, I have sound but no picture, the screen display (power on) is a snowy blue screen and vertical pink stripe. What is causing this problem and how can I fix it cheap. I can afford a TV repair man at this time, because I am laid off from work. Thanks.
