Setting to store images on memory card

Check the camera's settings, the photos maybe stored in the camera's internal memory and not being stored on the memory card.

Follow the instructions on pages 178-179 of this manual.

Once the memory card is inserted correctly the camera will store photos on the memory card, if it is removed, the camera will store photos on the internal memory.

The camera offers two options for storing pictures and videos:

Internal Memory —Store pictures and videos in 16 MB internal
memory.

SD/MMC Card —Store pictures and videos on a card. The number/length
of pictures/videos depends on the size of the card. Purchase accessories at
a
dealer of Kodak products or visit www.kodak.com/go/dx6490accessories. For
storage capacities, see page 114.

Managing Your Storage Location Setting (after inserting the card with power
OFF)
1 Turn on the camera.
2 In any still or video mode, press the Menu button.
3 Press to highlight Image Storage , then press the OK button.
4 Press to highlight an option, then press the OK button:

Auto (default)—the camera uses the card
if one is in the camera. If not, the camera
uses internal memory.

Internal Memory—the camera always
uses internal memory, even if a card is
installed.

5 Highlight Continue, then press the OK button again.
The setting remains until you change it and applies to all camera
functions.

6 Press the Menu button to exit the menu.

you need to change camera setting so that it store images in memory card. right now it is storing image on phone memory. open camera and you will have setting or option there.

yes, my camera offers that option too. I can either shoot/store the images onto the camera directly OR onto a memory card. And I use the memory card. Generally the camera storage is pretty small. To find the setting, explore the cameras menu. It's there somewhere. Consult your book or do a search online.

You may have possibly partially transferred images to the computer - are they anywhere to be found? You may have whilst taking images altered the resolution setting thus reducing the capacity of the card. Download this and run the memory card through it it will pull up any missing images. www.pcinspector.com or www.konvar.com downd load the program, install it and direct it to the plugged in camera in the download mode. Also get hold of a card reader, saves on batteries and this sort of problem
