Question about Sylvania LC260SS8 26 in. LCD Television
There is a diode located on the power supply of this set that has been a common problem. The location number of the diode is d558. If it is shorted then it will need to be replaced. There could also be other possibilities but this the most common problem that I have found in my notes. If this is the problem, a repair shop may get any where from $50-$150 to fix it. If you did it yourself, the diode would only cost a couple of dollars.

I checked that diode d558 and is good....what else can it be...it blinks the green
bottom 2 or 3 times and goes red again without turning on.
