Yes, simply go to your settings and reformat it as a 120GB Hard-drive, the option should be there

HOW TO INCREASE SPEED OF DATA TRANSFERRING.

First of all, press the Caps Lock button, it really helps.
Make sure that your PC's USB port is actually a USB 2.0 (or 3.0). There are no options to increase the speed of a flash drive, it is determined by the microcontroller used in the drive.

Anything I load on to my kingston data traveler 32GB dt101 gets corupted & does not open. I attempted top reformat however problem persist.

the ram chips have become corrupted, either from pulling out the data traveler when it was working, in a folder, and or windows was still accesing it even though it has said it is safe to remove. If this is still under warranty then send it back to get it replaced. I have a couple of 32GB and 16GB thumb drives that have become corrupted just because windows didn't recognise them properly and just kept on accessing them continuously. Sometimes reformatting will fix problem as a short term fix. Just get it replaced ASAP.

My buffalo combo 4 2 TB wont show up on my xbox 360. I already have it formated FAT32

The Xbox 360 can only recognize drives up to 16GB as noted on their website, I myself have tried a 32GB flash drive to test the limitations and it was not recognized. At this time it seems as though microsoft is limiting their external storage to 16GB.

While transfering a file from pc to hd computer froze. I then unpluged the drive and then pc come back to normal now the external will not get recognised

It sounds like you have a serious problem. If you cannot get the HDD to read at all and your computer will not recognize it, you have a bad "sector" of the drive.

As a metaphor:
Your drive has little "squares," each square stores information on it. Your computer will break the data down into these squares and store it in segments. When your computer freezes its because it is "confused" as to why it cannot store the data. When you remove the HDD, the computer then assumes it's to stop and resumes regular activity.

The solution:
A) Go to “My Computer” right click on the Hard Drives icon and go to “Properties,” then go to “Tools” and then to “Error Checking.” Also then “Defragment”

If that doesn’t work:
B) Try to reinstall the updated drivers on the manufactures web-site. After you have reinstalled the drivers reformat the Hard Drive. Reformat your hard drive by going into "My Computer" and right clicking the HDD and selecting "Format." Follow the prompt.

Good luck!

I am not recognising kigston data traveller

When the flash memory USB hard drive device appears to malfunction it maybe possible to restore it by reformatting it. Insert the flash or USB hard drive into the USB port then Click on Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management - Disk Management.
Then right click on Disk 1 removable drive and click Format. After the flash drive has been formatted it will indicate that it is Healthy.
NOTE Formating the USB flash drive will delete your data.

Cannot transfer any files from my computer to my external hard

Did you install the drivers for the drive? Is it recognised in Windows as a device? If not, try reconnecting and Windows should prompt you to install the drivers, Assuming the drive is recognised by WIndows, then are a few causes for not transferring data. I've attached a link to Western Digital's FAQ regarding Data Transfer problems with your drive....

Several page of possible solutions are listed above.... however, you can refine the search if it is only happening when running specific apps or @ specific times. The answer you seek is located in this link. If you can provide more details on the type of file(s) you are trying to transfer and how, I'll refine the solution for you....
