Question about Panasonic PT-AX200 LCD Projector

1 Answer

Having problems getting a sharp clear picture using s-video have tried changing cable. HDMI OK but still not great. Can the projector be affected by mains power cable running through the roof close to about 600mm from the projector . I live in New Zealand so our voltages are at 40 volts AC.

Try using different input ports on the TV. Experiment with HDMI and component cable inputs if yu have a DVD player or cable box with those type of outputs

My HDMI 1 is dull but when i put it on HDMI 2 its clear... and when i go to menu on HDMI 1 picture only can set backlight, contrast and brightness... I cant go to sharpness, color, tint and advanced...

Hi chaz,

I see that your HDMI 1 is having problems when used and on the HDMI 2 everything is ok and clear.

I believe this cannot be fixed since this is going to be a hardware issue, there are no settigns for the HDMI to change any settign rgarding video, the only setting you can get is for the whole LCD TV itself and regardless of what input you use the settings will be the same.

You may need to have that HDMI port check from the manufacturer if you still have warranty on your LCD tv.

I hope this helps.

Have a nice day,

Hi, I have brought an ONKYO TX-SR508 receiver and seem to be having problem getting a true picture. I am connecting it to my projector. When I connect the blue ray through the receiver, the picture keeps...

The reason you are not getting a good picture is because of the HDMI interlink cable. Make sure that the HDMI cables you have bought are at least version 1.3a. May be one of the cables is v1.3a that is why you are getting OK picture when you connect the projector directly ( it might be an expensive cable ) . If you do not get v1.3 you may also buy v1.4 which is 3D ready.
The poor band width of the cable must be giving you a bad picture.
Now if both your cables are OK and you are still getting a bad picture you have faulty HDMI pass through circuit on your TX-SR508.

Projector Input is on DVI - Video. HDMI cable thru an adapter is plugged into DVI port. When av receiver has "TV" selected; Picture is projected. When Blu-Ray is selected; there is no picture....

The Sharp XR-30X will display 720P and 1080i. The Blu-Ray player is trying to send 1080P which requires a handshake. It sounds like you might have to go into the Blu-Ray player and tell it to use 1080i.

I m not getting clear picture when i m playing online movie on the projector

Hi raj, i think problem is on cable you connect projector to get video signal form your Computer

Get a 10m HDMI cable along with setupbox which has HDMI out..
else switch to component video at least..if you want to do justice to the prj ohyeah.gif
Roughly on an average projector cost of watching 1hr of video comes to around Rs 20-30.. don't waste that with poor quality cables.

Good luck ! if you think your problem solved don't forget to rate

Lose audio unless projector is on or unplugging hdmi cable from sharp xr-32x projector. works fine when watching projector

Your receiver is sensing the video source. Try using optical, or coaxial digital audio for an input, this may work.

Xbox 360 sound problem

HDMI carrys no sound you still need to have the audio cables from the component plugged into the tv. If this doesnt do the trick you should call MS or check your TV's settings maybe there is a special function when using that resolution. Hope this helps.
