The central vertical line in the display is due to the damage caused in the LCD display due to impact..probably during shifting. As result of it the colour mixing fails.
The colour could also fail due to colur IC chips failure too...due to impact or voltage fluctuations. You will find lot of Purple,& green in the display. Get it serviced in a authorized center.

power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
Hope this will help to solve the problem
No caps with bulging top or bottom seals? Take some voltage reading on the caps, some should ahve 5vdc, some will have 12vdc, most failure on monitors are due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
i had the same problem, you'll have to call the samsung service center. You TV's part which looks after the voltage connectivity has failed. This majorly happens due to voltage fluctuations. The part will cost around Rs. 2800 and service charges will be applied by the company.
