It seems yr pc is infected with virus which hides the document files and create a .exe file. Kindly update the virus database and scan it. But still u cannot view the files even after cleaning the virus. They will remain as hidden. Go to the control panel>>> Folder Option>> Under the view tab click>>Show Hidden files and folders. I hope that will help.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

How can I save a file name in hindi in ms word?

When you save a file, you are no longer interacting with the language of the program, but the language set on your computer. You would have to go into your Control Panel, then Language and Region, then Change Keyboard or other inputs, and there click on Change Keyboards. There you would need to add the language you want so that you can select it in Windows, and once selected you should be able to set the file name in the language of your choosing.
I hope this helps.

Files saved on the maxtor hard drive become read only. I cannot make changes to the files and save it.

The cause of read only files are the files open by other network. To fix this problem copy your files and save it again to your computer. Or you may open the files and save it again in different file name.

Autocorrect file (MSO2057.acl)

I would try a few things before reinstalling although reinstalling really is not such a difficult process. first try the detect and repair command or simply renaming the file as a RTF and seeing if you can close and reopen it under the rich text format. if so, then On the security tab, under "Group or user names", Administrators, SYSTEM and your Name (an administrator) are listed. The permissions for all of these names are; Full Control, Modify, Read & Execute, Read and Write

Got a new imac moved ms office file to my book -

Hi,

Try to change the File system of the hard drive to FAT. It is currently in NTFS. Mac recognizes NTFS file system as read only. You must use the disc utility and format it with a volume format of MS DOS.

By changing it to MS DOS (FAT) you can use it with Mac and PC. Readable and writable.

Paint cannot save file windows 2000 proffessional

This fix should allow you to use MS Paint to Open and Save JPG files, and Open and Save GIF files. The quality of the saved GIF with MS Paint may be reduced because of the limited 256-color palette (See here for an explanation and workaround). A better alternative for opening and saving JPG and GIF files would be to download and install a great FREE image viewer called IrfanView (MS Paint is still better for individual pixel editing, so it's good to have both).
If you want to proceed with the MS Paint Fix, you should first do a search on your hard drive to see if you
have the jpegim32.flt and gifimp32.flt filters.
You can find those files here:
http://www3.sympatico.ca/one.human/files/Jpegim32.flt
http://www3.sympatico.ca/one.human/files/Gifimp32.flt
You need to make sure you have both filters in the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\grphflt
C:\Windows\MsApps\Grphflt
You may already have the JPEG Filter on your system, but only in one location. If that is the case, Copy and Paste it to the other location. Once you have the JPEG Filter in both locations, you may only need to do a simple Registry edit to be able to "Save As" a JPG.
If you already have the JPEG Graphics Filter on your system (and in both locations as stated above), but MS Paint still won't let you "Save As" JPG, you can manually edit the Registry to correct this. It's a simple fix. Go to Start, Run, type REGEDIT, and click OK. Go to this key by clicking the + signs beside the keys (folders):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Graphics Filters\Export\JPEG.
Click on the "JPEG" key (folder) in the left pane, and you'll see a String Value in the right pane with the name "Extensions". Make sure under the "Data" column it shows only "jpg". If it shows "jpg, jpeg", double-click on the "Extensions" string and from the "Value data" field remove "jpeg" so that it only reads "jpg" (without the quotes).
If it worked, this edit allows you to "Save As" JPG. If it didn't work, or if you want to be able to also open and save GIF files, read on.

Or use this reg file to export your files as jpeg

My pc doesn't have misrosoft word..

MS Office will cost you money
If you need an office program for free; try Open Office, it is free
Note: when you save your files you can save them with MS Office extensions
the only problem is when you open the files the convert back to Open Office which changes the extension
when you save the changes, go to file/ save as, delete the .doc from the file name in the first box and change to MS Word to redo the extension
otherwise your changes won't be saved

I lost/ forget my password of MS excel file and his password length of 6 character please help me its urgent.

If you can open the file, save the file with a new name and you can save all your changes with no password. If you cannot open the file and it is at work; easy, contact IT and they can go through the backdoor and change the password.
If the file is on your home computer; you can go to start and find the adminstrater on the control panel and change the password or delete it under the primary administrer icon.
Basically you are giving yourself the administrater control on that file.

Multiple changed CD-R's - for no reason

The problem probably lies with your back-up configuration and
must have been dated earlier. There is no 'Scottie, beam me
down!' yet, not even for data. We often tend to overlook the
details.
