Question about GE Profile JGP970SEKSS Stainless Steel Gas Cooktop
Can I remove the stainless trim from the broken glass and use on new glass ?
Or do I need to order glass with the stainless trim atached ?
Can I use part # ap3853037 or ap3883711 and install the old stainless trim ?
what is the difference in these 2 parts ?
Part # ap3853036 is a lot more expensive !
Dose this part have the stainless trim atached ?
Can you give me instructions for this repair ?

SOURCE: glass top
The cooktop will need to be removed from the counter. Turn it upside down and remove the screws. The biggest problem will be removing the cooktop from the counter. Sometimes it is not worth fixing as the part could cost around $400. NEVER use a cracked top as it could suddenly explode. This is tempered glass and very unstable if cracked or chipped.

I have found the codes that you need and hope this helps you.
F1 Stuck touch pad Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both.Thank You for writing to fix ya.
Best Regards Richard
