Try pushing the reset switch. if there is no reset switch, disconnect power to the radio for a few minutes.

HI just bought a DELL 8300....dvd eject button does not seem to work

I can tell you how to open the CD/DVD player manually. If the button does not work at all you may need a new unit. Hopefully your still under some type of warranty to get it for free but if you have to install a new player its not that hard to do.

To open your CD/DVD player you will need a small paper clip. Open the paper clip up so its a straight piece of wire. Turn your computer completely off. Look on the front of your CD/DVD player you will see a small pin hole opening. Push the straight end of the paper clip in that hole you will feel it contact a switch and the door will pop slightly open. At that point you can pull it all the way open. When you restart the computer it will automatically pull back in or just give it a push and it will close again for you.

If this helps you out please leave me some positive feed back.

I have a Toshiba TV/DVD Combination (26HLV66) and there is a dvd inserted that will not eject. Any suggestions?

There might be a mechanical problem with your dvd player but if you want to eject the dvd that is inside the player, try this:
Look for a small hole in front of the player, usually above the cd tray. Get a a small piece of wire or a paper clip that will fit into the hole. Push the wire of paper clip intot he hole until the cd tray opens and then you can remove the cd/dvd.

Cant get cd out of pioneer hed.p9200r

Try and tease it out through the **** in the front using an old CD or credit card (or similar)

If that does not work then the whole player will have to be removed from the dashboard and the case opened for the jammed CD to be released and the mechanism checked.

Make sure you have the security code (if applicable) if you have to disconnect the player

Hi,
Try going to the drive, in my computer ** should be named CD/DVD Or D: E: right click and press eject. Alternatively:-
if you look carefully at the dvd drive, it has a small pinhole in the front drawer. push a paper-clip sized piece of metal, or small jewellers screwdriver into the hole, this will force the drawer open.

CD Player does not eject CD

Just took one apart tonight. Same problem, put in cd-played fine-push eject then click click click.
2004 nissan sentra 140 watt single cd player/radio.
This dash comes apart by pulling the top of dash (with the tray) straight out the clips should release. the bottom part had to be pried a little, then remove four screws and slide out the radio still attached to the mount and dash etc. One screw holds on the top of the stereo. After removing the screw you must pry the top off. Now it gets a little tricky, you must remove the cd player portion, however there are 5 tiny springs holding it down to some pads. The two springs in the rear are under a piece of the stereos frame held on by two screws, I had to use various sizes of tweezers to get the springs off. Lift the player out of the radio about an inch, you will see one 1/2" ribbon in a connector, the top of the connector slides out along the ribbon to release. The other ribbon about the same size plugs into a small daughter board in the radio, it just pulls out and pushes in (you can feel it is reinforced). once out turn it over and you will see what would be considered a gearbox, (small white gears in a see through case) one of the corners of this case has a screw through it. This corner has broken away from the board letting the gears come apart when trying to eject (this is the clicking). I took a soldering iron and melted the plastic back together and put a small amount of 5-min epoxy on for good measure. When putting back into case you can hook up the ribbon cables before all the spring grief and test it out. Mine worked perfectly again. Be care full when putting back together, there are a lot of little micro switches that must be in the correct position) Example, if the cd is ejected the white arm on the right side must be in the correct position. the read head (laser) must be away from the center of the cd. I believe it was easier to put together with it in the cd-in position (without a cd in it) so the laser must be toward the center of the cd. Don't force the laser, use the worm gear to move it in or out. I couldn't put one of the springs back on but it still works fine Good luck, it's not as hard as it sounds

CD WONT EJECT PIN HOLE

If it's trying to eject you may need to use a small screwwdriver to lift up on the CD. This works when mine hangs up. If it's not trying to eject at all, then the little motor on the ejecting mechanism may have failed or come off track. I had to replace the original CD player about a year ago because of this. That's why I have the JVC now, and it seems that CD's started hanging up from day one with this radio.

CD tray doesn't open

ok there is a small hole below the tray, use a small paper clip
wire to push in that whole, push and the tray should come out.

if that doesnt work take cd player out, push plastic clips on side
and top at front , front plate should come off .

where small whole was in front look behind plate you will see a small little metal arm push on that

should be able to clear cd player then .

Jensen vm9311ts problem

The player thiinks the CD is still in the player. you have a shorted or open sensor. Usually thee players have 3 phto sensors to tell the controller that a Disc is inserted , or ejected or present. Sometimes a wire or piece of lint covers a sensor and makes the controller think the CD is still there. Get you a can of Air from Radio Shack and blow out the DVD drive You might get lucky and this do the job.

I receive error msg and cant eject magazine

The magazine in our Sony CD player would not eject. I tried pressing two buttons at the same time etc., with no result. I uplugged the player, removed the screws that hold the black metal cover on and took off the cover (pull the metal up, out and away at the back bottom sides, then slide it back to release the lip from under the front pane.) Looked down inside and saw the problem, a CD disc extended about 1/2 inch from the magazine, blocking ejection. I pushed the extended edge of the disc back into the magazine with the tip of a kitchen knife. Plugged the player back in, pushed power and then the eject button, and the magazine ejected. Replaced the metal cover and it works fine. If it won't eject again I know what to do. Be sure to unplug before you work, you don't need an electrical shock.
All the best, Sonia Murray
