Hi-

If this is a projection TV, im suggesting to check the bulbs for your television, it might need replacement. Bulb might be busted already, bulb is a consumable part so you can order it from your manufacturer.

Thanks for using FIXYA, keep me posted for inquiries.

The light that illuminates what gear i am in PRND is not lighting up what fuse do I need to repalace

Hi,
If that area is the only that does not lights up, that means the bulb is already busted and you have to replace it. The interior lighting system ( panel gauge lights, switch lights, dome lights, and anything that lights up inside ) is connected to that.
Fuse is located in the fuse box, 15 amps, "acc. light ".
Hope that helps you out!

Light bulb is busted, what brand should I buy for a replacement? thanks.

Buy any reputable brand that fits, they are all about the same. Remember that the cover must come off to replace the bulb and the microwave needs to be unplugged for a few hours before you attempt to work on it.

Light is not glowing but lence is ok

Hi and welcome to fixya,

It could be a busted bulb you're dealing with. Check and make sure your connections are okay first to make sure the bulb's really causing the problem. Pop out the bulb tray and remove the bulb, if you can see a black powderlike deposit inside, chances are the bulb's busted. It should be cheap to replace. Around 100 dollars.

Hope this helps

The light fell and now the light doesn't work at all and there is a rattling noise like when a bulb is busted. How can I find and replace the correct bulb or might it be something else?

You'll need to dis-assemble to see exactly what broke. Most of the time, it is not worth fixing since it was dropped, something else will let go in the near future. Sorry.

You'll spend less $ buy buying a new one.

Huh? First time BOTH ends being BUSTED? U mean a rear tail light bulb when replace, FRONT HEADLiGHTS burn? Either u got overcharging of ELECTRiCiTY by ur alternator that kept busting those BULBS? Have ur car check by an auto electrician before everything burns! Taah!

2005 model. replacing driver side headlight. trying to get hold down wire released from tab on sub-zero day. I busted off then end of the black hook tab that the hold down wire clips onto. so now, no way...

If it's the clip that holds the wires plug onto the bulb, don't worry about it. It will stay on anyway. Just when you replace that bulb, be real sure you wipe the bulb really well of any oils from your fingers that may be on it. I you don't the bulb won't last very long.

How do I replace the lamp? Do I need just the bulb, or also the housing?

just the bulb.. write down the model number of the unit and they will give you the same bulb that you need, just give them the model number.

If you are going to install the bulb just remember DO NOT HOLD directly the bulb, use any clothe or gloves, because even a fingerprint can busted the bulb even thou it's not yet use

How to replace bulb on sony kdf-55000

there are 2 hand screws on the back of tv, both sides, loosen them, them remove the lower front plastic cover, it is tight, you will need to pull on it hard after you loosen the screws, when you remove the front cover you will see the lamp access door, one hand screw removes it. 2 allen screws remove the lamp, if you buy a sony lamp, it will come with the allen wrench. if the glass is busted on your lamp it is definately bad, if it's not busted, you might have another problem.
